I am sorry for the loss of your wife. She is at peace, and I hope time gives you some comfort and peace, also.

She was relentless in her fight, I do not know her but read many of her threads. Very courageous. Rest well, Vilca.

Re: My husband walked out

Well.....do I dare say it? He's a jerk.... Cathie PS remind him that "karmas a bitch." He's already finding that out. I can tell he is miserable living in his parents' double wide. I think he honestly thought I would beg him to come back after a few days. Instead, he got notice from me th...

Re: Colonoscopy Prep

Sorry about the polyps...IDK if they can be prevented, I think some people just grow them. I am so uncomfortable about the waiting times between colonoscopies in folks like us, who have had diagnoses of cancer. THREE YEARS IS TOO LONG!!!!! I had my 1 year colonoscopy a few days ago and the doc said,...

Re: Anyone with Stage IVa just do Xelolda or 5-fu?

I had 12 rounds with full Oxi, no reductions. Had many super annoying side effects during. 7 months later, the side effects are barely there. I had my one year follow up at GI yesterday and colonoscopy. I have no tumors, polyps, or any areas of concern. GI said, perfect. How long will my insides be ...

Re: Hubby diagnosed 3C adenosquamous colon

Hey Zig. Sorry about your husband. I also had an emergency surgery for blockage with a huge tumor, in 2016. I was totally blocked and vomiting every 2 minutes for an entire day until I realized, hey, I don't think this is food poisoning. I was badly anemic, and did not stop being anemic until 2 mont...

Re: MD Anderson possibly flooding

Texas is a gigantic mess. We live in Ingleside, near Port Aransas, Rockport, etc, where the hurricane made landfall. No water, electricity, sewer...somehow we got cell phone service yesterday. Our entire town is destroyed. Houston is apparently a giant, deadly, swimming pool. It's terrifying and awf...

Re: CEA Level

I don't think you should be worried. Did you have it drawn at a different lab? Mine varies, depending on which lab draws it. Mine goes from .5 to 1.5, and I asked my onc if I should be concerned. He said: " are you kidding me? No!" I think if it continuously climbs, time to step up to a sc...

Haha glad we all are able to joke about this stuff. Glad you are on your feet and ready for whatever comes next. Hope it turns out to be as you wi...

Well I got the great news following my PET Scan. NED BABY!!!! That being said I am still going to complete the 12 rounds of chemo and then continue whatever the Dr suggests. I will most likely be a chemo for lifer.. The other great part is that all the small spots on my liver are GONE! Dr giving al...

Re: Husband broke down last night

Sorry the surgery wasn't successful. That's disheartening to say the least.

You are a great champion for your husband, he is very lucky in that regard.

Take care and hopefully the next surgery will be successful.
