Re: NEW-Need some positivity here.

hey, i had blood before and it was nothing. it actually takes time for aspirin even low doses to completely leave your system and lessen the side effects. i doubt it is anything related to your diagnosis, likely just a hemi. hang in there!

Re: NEW-Need some positivity here.

so i asked my doctor and he said cancer itself does not hurt...only if it is obstructing or has impinged a nerve. believe it may be your liver healing. it's an amazing organ.

Re: NEW-Need some positivity here.

I was thinking if you today and how you were getting along. My first scan was a bit nerve wracking, but fortunately I got through it, as you will. One thing is for certain, we are ALIVE! 30 years ago, maybe not so much. I have learned alot from this ordeal... not to worry...nothing I can do until I ...

Re: NEW-Need some positivity here.

It took me about 21 days to heal completely once removed. It's been about 7 months since removal and I can still feel the void if you will, in the area where it was initially inserted.

Re: NEW-Need some positivity here.

hi, teacher... as you know, i had my report removed after the oxy, hated the thing and always reminded me of the ordeal. i now have a lucky horseshoe tattooed on my chest over the area. All of my bloodwork is drawn from my arms as is the dye inserted for scans. it really helped me get a new perspect...

Re: NEW-Need some positivity here.

what a nerve wracking experience, more so than actual diagnosis. so i couldn't bear it, the anxiety afterwards. my wife called the dr's office from Riyadh to pester them about the results of my PET/CT scan today....and I am still NED. nothing. it's a wave of euphoria to say the least, but it lasted ...

Re: NEW-Need some positivity here.

Such good news! I have been bummed over your last posts and stayed away from the site a bit since i have my first 6 month scans next week. Heading back from Saudi Arabia tomorrow and have a PET/CT scan on Wednesday, follow- up with my Oncologist on Thursday, and a one-year follow-up Colonoscopy on F...

Re: NEW-Need some positivity here.

Teacher, None of this is ever easy. Waking up every day before diagnosis was always easy. I cannot speak for everyone, but my days always come with a reminder even if i forget a little or chose to look elsewhere. I am living your same fears, NED or not. My hopes and prayers are with you and your fam...

Re: NEW-Need some positivity here.

We are all here to help! You have friends you have never known and I am one of them! I suggest lap, less invasive, quicker recovery. You need that to stay focused, healthy, and not succumb to some complication going the more invasive route. As for the pump, I suggest going easy on the liver...3 year...

Re: NEW-Need some positivity here.

teacher, when you are feeling your lowest, look up 'bomberbob' and his posts...poignant to say the least. as for me, today i almost drowned on a dive, almost. i would like to say God gave me a metaphor on my cancer and survivorship. so today, i was diving the Manassir wreck in Muscat, Oman. 100ft do...
