If they find shunting to lungs more than 20%, they will not do it.
But it seems there are some places that can handle more shunting with some special filters.

Re: Started strong, fading fast as caregiver for DH

Some initial questions:

1. Initial CEA?
2. CEA after 4 treatments?
3. PET Scan results after 3 treatments
4. Stage, and which organs affected and resectability.
5. Is your DH being seen in Top 20 hospitals, or any ones below are close by?

Re: To Sue or Not to Sue

Thanks everyone for your kind suggestions which are greatly appreciated. The main reason I have not sued yet is that I think the time of Cancer doctors is better spent on reviewing cases of patients than reviewing cases with Lawyers. My dad had a upper limit to his insurance and since the limit was ...

Re: To Sue or Not to Sue

When I was recovering from my colon resection I had a CNA who copped an attitude with me daily. One day she was giving me a sponge bath, she got mad cause she was working late due to my visitors and she threw the towel down onto my incision really hard. It hurt real bad but I kept my mouth shut but...

Re: Liver resection updates - not NED yet, only two liver metsleft

Hi Sha, Do you know the sizes of the Mets? If they can be RFAed then it means mostly below 5cm. HAI maybe just to remove any floating cancer cells and maybe to reduce them further. Although the news is a little disappointing, I think you are still in a perfectly curable arc space. Please see case be...

To Sue or Not to Sue

To Sue or Not to Sue, that is the question. My dad had a nasty nurse, who when he was very weak and 2 months from passing away, was extremely rude to him. She would rip his bandages in a most un callous way and say and do other things which still hurt me. As an example, one time my dad needed someth...

Re: Endoscopy experience

Thanks everyone. Appreciate it. Janklo, you were right on target. It was exactly as you described. I don't remember anything after the banana taste spray and then waking up to Cranberry and Orange juices. I just had one 2 weeks ago. When I arrived they put in Iv but hooked up to nothing. Then when t...

Endoscopy experience

Anyone here had endoscopy recently? I need to get it done as was wondering how is the experience as compared to Colonoscopy.
I had colonoscopy last year and found it to be a relatively easy procedure and hoping same for endoscopy.

Also how many hours after this one can drive on their own?

Re: We need some laughs here!

Walking up to a departmental store's fabric counter, a pretty girl asked, "I want to buy this material for a new dress. How much does it cost?" "Only one kiss per yard" replied the smirking male clerk. "That's fine," replied the girl. "I'll take ten yards." Wi...

Re: We need some laughs here!

A guy was looking for a place to sit in a crowded university library. He asked a girl: "Do you mind if I sit beside you?" The girl replied in a loud voice: "I DON'T WANT TO SPEND THE NIGHT WITH YOU!" All the students in the library started staring at the guy, He was truly embarra...
