Re: TIL Immunotherapy at NCI

My DH has officially thrown his hat in the TIL trial ring. We initiated contact with NIH a couple of weeks ago, and have submitted the initial paperwork and required blood sample for testing. We are currently checking off our #1 Bucket list dream...another trip to Italy to visit our son, daughter-in...

Working that bucket list...

Two weeks ago we learned that Folfiri and Erbitux had failed to stop DH's cancer from progression. Xeloda and Erb. had failed before that. In the past few months, DH's CEA has risen from 6 to 23.4. Our onc. has recommended going back of Folfox with or without Avastin...a regimen that kicked DH's tai...

Re: Another wall

I'm so very sorry that you, your family, and your dad are having to deal with all of this. I hope the "options" that are made available will allow your dad to be as comfortable as possible. My thoughts are with you.

Re: 90 year old father with possible cc recurrence

I would encourage you to ask for a hospice consult. Hospice services are covered by Medicare and insurance...medications to manage sy...

Re: Faith, Maia's Friend has passed

Dearest Maia, It's no easy thing to give your heart away to people who will most likely have to leave you before you're ready. It's a sacrifice of love and mercy....a beautiful, but costly thing. Now, in this time of grief, may you be surrounded by love, comforted by sweet memories, and encouraged b...

Results of Brain scan should be ready today- Update

I haven't posted in a long while, but check in frequently. I carry many of you in my heart and mind, always hoping for the best for everyone. It's been a little over a year since my DH's recurrence. In the last 13 months, he's been taken into the OR twice (a planned liver resection last May, and a p...
