Eleda, if your eating beans, don't eat it anymore. It causes major gas and clustering. Also are you taking Metamucil at night with a lomotil/atropine? Hi Mike I saw my surgeon last week and asked him about taking the bicarb He has no problem with it, in fact he prefers me to go once a day instead of 25times ( because of my fisture) as long as I check my calcium and kidney Which I do and are fine ,, !!!! I'm only 3 months our and I have no idea how...

I had a TATME for a 3cm tumor 2.5xm above AV, Minimal down time
Temporary illeostomy
So it's not the only option..... but there may be other factors at play as to why they want to go this road for ur husband
