Re: Ok, need your opinion....

I would have to ask him/her what a "pulip" is. Is it a pink tulip? :)

Re: Is this right?

Is there anyway to tell from CT scan whether tumor has gone into the submucosa or is it only through surgery they can determine that? Mom_2_3, That statistic has LONG been known and if you look at the survival stats on the ACS website, you will see that those also bear that out. No, lymph node invol...

Interesting but at http://dave1.mgh.harvard.edu/media/pres ... 050906.swf is a presentation that indicates that Stage IIIa is prognostically better than Stage IIb.

Re: Liver resection yeah!

Anna, I will pray that you get good news tomorrow based on the Pet scan. How many liver mets does Jay have? Where are the lymph nodes? I have 1 or 2 directly outside the colon tumor. Also, what about the lungs concerned him? I thought all the lung mets disappeared? I was under the impression that Dr...

Re: Liver resection yeah!

Thanks for the warning, Gaelen. I think we'll have a taste of the pre-op next Wednesday with PET scan at 8.15 at the main campus, then 11 with Dr D'Angelica and 2.30 with Dr. K. At the moment we're still excited at the prospect of surgery, but I'm sure I'll start getting the jitters at some point. ...

Re: Pregnant & Worried

I don't know much about virtual colonscopies and whether they are safe for pregnant women but I would look into if I were you. Your symptoms could be related to some easy-to-treat issue or they could be something more serious. I don't know I would wait 31 weeks to start trying to figure it out. Not ...

I started the survey but the one of the first questions is whether one had nausea due to chemo. As I said "no" I was not eligible for the survery. Dang!

Re: Cat Scan results

Hi Amy, That's great news. Dr. P has been having a lot of success recently! what's the next step for you? did she recommend any particular liver surgeon? we get PET scan, MRI results this Wednesday and we'll see from there. Jay had several lung nodules when we started this, but she now says, "...

Re: Cat Scan results

MissJV Thanks for your response. We talked about the pump today and the plan is that we will put it in for maybe neo-adjuvant or adjuvant, not sure but will definitely have it implanted. If the surgeries are staged we will do colon surgery, remove ovaries and implant hepatic pump. I will receive che...
