Re: Scan timing

I was done with chemo in November 2016 and had my first scan in February 2017. I had an enlarged lymph node so I had a PET scan a week later to make sure it was ok. I had my next scan in June then another in October. My Oncologist bumped me to 6 months so my next is in April. I assume I will be on 6...

Re: Port Removal

Congrats! Enjoy the moment. I had mine removed in November after having it 1 1/2 years. I lost a lot of weight since being diagnosed so it really poked out and was uncomfortable. The procedure was a piece of cake for me. I received the propofol so I was out of it and was sore for a couple of days. I...

Re: Lung nodule and mesenteric nodes

Hello. I had my first post chemo scan in February 2017. They saw one enlarged lymph node that was 1.2 x1.1 in my mesentery. I had a PET scan with no activity in the node. I was not able to biopsy due to its small size. I had a follow up scan in June and it was the same size. I had another scan in Oc...

Re: Scan tomorrow

Finally got my results and everything is clear! Still have enlarged lymph node but its stable and same size. Also have some lung nodules that may have been a couple mm larger but still labeled as calcified granulomata (my lungs are scarred and damaged from being a severe juvenile asthmatic that I ou...

Thubler and Benben hoping your results are positive as well.

Re: Scan tomorrow

Hope yours was good yesterday! Haven't gotten the results yet. The last couple scans have taken a couple days to post results. I used to get them the same day when I was first diagnosed. I'll probably get them by tomorrow morning. I'll keep you updated. Thubler I hope your scan was clear as well. T...

Scan tomorrow

So I have another scan tomorrow morning at 0800. Honestly I have been dreading this day for awhile. My scanziety hasn’t been too bad. I just worry because I have these two enlarged lymph nodes that have been the same size since they were discovered during my first post chemo scan. I had to work toni...

Re: Port Removal -- ASAP or wait for first scan?

Hello. I finished up chemo 11/16. I have had two CT scans and one PET due to an enlarged lymph node. Everything has been stable. I have my next scan mid October and if everything stays the same my oncologist wants to have my port removed. Im torn on if I want it out yet or not. Most of the time I fo...

Re: New and husband just diagnosed

Im sorry that you have to be faced with this. You have found a great resource here because it seems you can always find someone that has or has gone through exactly what your husband and you are facing. I know it seems bad at the beginning, especially when it's unexpected, but take a breath this can...

Re: CT scan results

Not quite sure what the collapsed bowel is, I have never had that on a CT before. Thanks Lee, yes the instructions were correct, I had found my instructions later on in the night and I was confusing the 4 hr fast vs the longer fast for the colonoscopy.

CT scan results

So I had my follow up CT scan today, they put a rush on the results because I have an appointment with my Oncologist tomorrow so I got the results this afternoon. On previous scans I have shown calcified lung nodules in both lungs, most likely from the years of adolescent asthma with some probably w...
