Re: 3 year cancerversary

Hi fellow kiwi. Good to hear from you again. As mentioned before, we are at a similar place time wise, my surgery was 13 Nov three years ago. I'm told that is a good milestone to reach. I didn't realise you had a mesh hernia repair! So did I, two years ago, but no problems with it. Cancer news is al...

No worries with any scans etc. I have read that 3 years is a good milestone to reach, but is there any basis for this opinion (fact?) I am a worrier but maybe, just maybe, I ...

Re: Almost three years.

Thanks for your reply. Just what I needed. Five years seemed such a long time to wait at first. But as time goes by I'm becoming a little more confident. I have a very patient Dr and the nurse there tells me test results as soon as she can get them. Blood tests the same day, even my follow up CT sca...

Re: Second opinion

Yes, these survival statistics! I'm still obsessed with these numbers to the point when I suspect my Dr is getting a little tired of my repetitive questions. Correct me if I'm wrong, but if someone with cancer dies in an accident before the 5 year period, are they then considered a non survivor even...

I can't add anything to Warriorspouse's post, but what I can do is thank you again for your comments, help and links to useful information since I joined this forum. I did read your original post and no, you don't talk too much!
