Re: Caregiver needing an ear

Well said, Terry. We all have our own FULL bucket of .... CRAP, don't we?

I just feel bad that everything got so contentious. It's obviously a subject close to everyone's heart.

Re: chemo and weightloss

Terry, Don't get discouraged. I've heard that sometimes it's easier to "diet" and "quit" together because one distracts the other....

Good Luck with everything and let us know how it goes!!!

HIPEC - Hot Chemo - treatment prior??

Hi All. Just a quick question for those that completed HIPEC or know those who did.... Call you tell me all the treatment options that were exhausted prior to turning to HIPEC?

We just want to make sure all our options have been covered.... Thanks so much!

Re: Caregiver needing an ear

Wow Guys.... This post has turned out to be a little aggressive. I understand what everyone has been saying and I think we all agree that, in the end, it's always the patients decision on any treatment direction. The other day, our Surgeon took some time to remind my husband of how I might be feelin...

Re: Hives, welts, swelling, and cancer?

My husband had a bee sting 2 weeks ago & it swole up like a grapefruit & boy was it hot! It was treated it with benadryl & zyrtec. He's not in active treatment now but just discovered a recurrence so maybe the reaction may be related??? For what it's worth, I had a friend who had a sever...

Re: Caregiver needing an ear

Hi everyone. We took off for a few days & now back to reading these posts. Boy, I do so appreciate all the perspectives! I may, however, have been misleading a little bit or perhaps I left a few things out. I have thoroughly researched HIPEC and our (wonderful) onc would refer us to San Diego or...

Re: Caregiver needing an ear

Thanks for the input so far... I really appreciate it. The new chemo will be folfiri w/avastin. The docs say that we've lost our chance for a cure but can gain time with chemo. Without HIPEC, they may be right... We're looking for quality of life then quantity of life; in that order. Thanks everyone
