Re: Female Pains AFTER radiation, No Doc will Listen...

Just an update - refused additional chemo. I'm good. I'm not in for any more damage. I actually felt fine before going in - aside from the complete blockage. My everything was normal - aside from the tumor. My cea is now .78 and I'm done. No more, and I'm taking my chances. I'm not saying thats rig...

Re: Any Chemo Lifers? Incurable Stage 4

I’ve been off and on again with chemo since 2015, currently about 6 months into chemo for life. I get FOLFURI with vectibux every two weeks, forever. My CEA is creeping up, now 10ish and I’ve been through at least 3 major surgeries, all started at the ripe age of 38, and thE doctors have been aggres...

This is not a joke or sarcasm, start smoking or ingesting weed, not CBD, but THC. It will get you through the day, and the munchies will make you eat like you haven’t since puberty.

Re: Hubby had liver resection for liver mets

I have had 2 liver surgeries, I was tired, lethargic and somewhat bedridden for about 2 weeks following my surgery. I felt much better after that time, I could have traveled and enjoyed a vacation. I could have not lifted anything more than about 5 pounds without seriously injuring myself, I think t...

Re: Sister Diagnosed with Colon Cancer that has spread to Liver

I had it, still do for the most part. Did chemo locally, liver DR. Told me no way to liver surgery, that was unacceptable to me. Went to MD Anderson for a second opinion, they operated on my liver first which is now cancer free. Went back home for more chemo and radiation, back to MD in a month for ...

Re: Time for my check up - 3 questions

I hate to say it, but bright red blood can be from a tumor, that's how I was diagnosed. it depends on where the tumor is at in the GI tract. Listen to your doctor, you may be just fine.

Re: 5fu side effects

I've had both, I thought the pump version was easier than the pills(Xeloda). The only side effect I remember is heart burn and maybe a little head in the clouds feeling.

Re: My Chemo/Radiation notes

Thanks AT, 8 sessions left, cannot wait. Certain parts of my anatomy feel sunburned, though just a small bit. Xeloda seems to be really kicking in, my head feels in the clouds. Have some time off before surgery, thank the good Lord.

Re: Liver Abscess after resection

How did he know he had an issue? I'm 2 month from my surgery and I have either a hernia or abscess above my scar, above my liver. I have a scan on Wed. for it, no pain, just annoying.
