Re: I got a second opinion-need advice

Yes I had a scan at MD Anderson this week and he reviewed the scans and said NED. I'm still stage 4 due to the fact that there was a cancer cell found in the abdominal wall. I know that I'm going to have to get over the uncomfortable feeling of explaining my decision to him. It's just hard because I...

Spot showed up on my abdominal wall in a port scar tissue sight from my first surgery. Said this is rare. It could have been a cancer cell that was placed there when remov...

Re: vectibix

I have been on Erbitux for the past 2 months but the rash has been awful. My doctor said we are going to try vectibix next to see if the rash is as severe. I hope it isn't. I need some relief from this. The only thing that clears it up is a round of steroids. It's awful and painful. I won't even lea...

Re: Weight Gain, Belly

I finished chemo in June of this year and I've packed on the pounds. I don't know what's happening. My metabolism has come to a stop. I feel so frustrated :(

Re: Neuropathy concerns

I have never heard of allodynia. I will have to look that up. I am new to all of this. I took Folfox and I think it did a real number on me.

I am dealing with this also. And it seems to have gotten worse after chemo was completed.
Mine is also in my hips and buttocks. Anybody else?

Neuropathy concerns

I had my last chemo treatment on June 18. The cold sensitivity has gotten better but I am still having issues with the neuropathy. I have peripheral and proximal neuropathy. Does anyone else have both of these? I was told the proximal isn't as common as the peripheral. My hips and buttocks hurts so ...

Re: Need advice- newly diagnosed Stage 3

Thanks so much for your replies. My dr called and wanted me to come in for a CT scan. I just got done with that. The radiologist looked at my scan while I was still on the table and he said he saw an ovarian cyst. That's not the official diagnosis yet. My dr hasn't called me with the official result...

Need advice- newly diagnosed Stage 3

I will try to make this short. I was diagnosed on Sept 12 with Colon Cancer. Had Surgery on Oct 6 to remove T4 tumor and was told I was Stage 3. I'm supposed to start chemo and radiation the week after Thanksgiving. My surgeon told my husband and I we could resume sex after about 4-6 weeks of surger...
