Re: Post-surgery blues?

Hi Eric & Michael

Sorry for pinching this post but appreciate your comments on the lungs. I am really hoping that I am operable and feeling worried abou the ops (if I can get them) already.

The recovery time sounds a lot better than I thought which has given me some form of relaxation.

Re: Part II: Back from surgery at MD Anderson - the bad stuf

Hi Again Traveler Glad you sorted it out with your Mother and mirrors the experience I had with mine. I think that as Mothers they feel obliged to do it, and that by not doing it they are failing in their duty as Mothers. In my case, just like yours, I considered that I would need to pick up my Moth...

Re: Post-surgery blues?

Hi Traveler I am in Australia and just had LAR a few weeks ago. It reached 45.8 degrees C (115 degrees F) which was a record for Sydney. I had massive post ops blues so I don't think you can chalk it all up to the weather :D I put mine up to focusing on myself and letting the negativity drag me down...

Re: T3N1

Hi Oren I had LAR for a rectal cancer on 05 Jan and was scheduled to have a stoma. Fortunately I didn't need one as apparently I had a "very flexible left colon" However in the weeks before LAR I accepted that I would have a Stoma and that this would be the device that was keeping me alive...

Hey Phuong I've only had the bad fortune of becoming a member of this club for a few months and I found your blog (none of your posts until this one) and it was an inspiration. As most of us have had I did have a few considerably dark thoughts which I have tried to hide my wife, although she is a lo...

Hi CR Guy As a newcomer to this game I can't comment too much as my journey is just starting. I can understand the distinction between the Ned and nEd, and I can only hope that I can get to that point to have the same emotions as you. From my point of view I hope to be able to struggling with the sa...

Hi Asterix If it helps at all I moved to Australia when I was 23 and I have been here 16 years. This makes me 39 which I should have put on the signature. I took up the Australian citizenship over a decade ago, and to all intensive purposes I am a true blue Aussie. The only expection is that I still...

Stage IV with 1 (I hope) met to the lung looking for advice

Hi Guys Been sitting at home recovering from my low anterior resection and thanking my lucky stars that I have a flexible colon so that I somehow didn't need the Stoma that I had been told I would end up with. Hey, you have to take the positives as they do seem to be far and few. I am not sure how i...
