Re: I'm back home!!!

The hospital is where they take you apart and put you back together. Home is where you heal. So this is truly great news. I cried in the car on the way home after my first hospital stay. I was so happy to be alive and outtathere! Couldn't have said it better myself. Thanks for the love and support ...

I'm back home!!!

It was just not logistically to post while I was in the hospital but I'm happy to be home again. The first 2 days were real blurs and my husband was getting concerned because I'm usually "back" with him by the 2nd day. It took me to the 3rd day to get my senses back and take charge of my c...

Re: Well, It's A Lung Met....

Just back online and saw you post. So sorry to hear it Eric, but you're a fighter and I know that you can get through this just as you've gotten through everything else so far. To echo a previous post...one step at a time. Try not to get the negativity get to you, although I know that's often easier...

Re: Phoung, Best of luck with your liver resection tomorrow!

Thanks for all the input guys. Bev, I laughed when I read your post because it's exactly how I got the contrast down for my CT scans and how I got the rest of the MC down. I remember the first time when the tech running my CT scan saw me pinching my nose and gulping down the bottle. He actually stop...

Re: Phoung, Best of luck with your liver resection tomorrow!

See, this is exactly why I LOVE you guys. I'm usually pretty upbeat, but I'm having a really hard time with prep this go-around and this was a great pick-me-up. Since it sounds like a few of us are going through prep today, can anyone help me out here? I had a really hard time before with Fleet and ...

Re: SkiFletch 2.0 Signing Off

My surgery date is tomorrow too, although mine is a lobectomy for the right side of the liver. I'll be thinking good thoughts for you too as I drift off to la la land. Doing the prep for it now and MAN IT SUCKS!!! I should have stuck with the osmoprep. It's a boatload of horse pills, but at least I ...

Re: To Port or not to port?

I got an infection when my port was put in and I still say port! It's so convenient and easy and you can't tell at all when it's under your clothes. Have a GREAT time in NY!

Hospital Smells

As I'm getting ready for my surgery (8/10/10), I'm thinking through all the hospital stays to learn from my past surgeries and I've realized that I've basically been able to figure out how to improve most of what bothered me before. The one thing I haven't been able to figure out has been the smells...

Seafood!!! I was totally turned off to it during treatments, but the good thing is that the tastebuds come back once you're done with it.
