post ct/pet scan rash

Good morning to everyone in/on this forum you make me smile, cry and let me know that I am not alone. I had pet/ct scan done on Tuesday and felt lousy after (not normal for me)went home and noticed I had a fine rash on neck, chest and arms. I called my onc. who is out of town at conference, and the ...

Re: Maintenance chemo questions?

I too am facing this dilemna, my onc suggested maintenance and said it was up to me. I have had 2 clear scans and my cea is 3.1. He suggested every 3 weeks (without Oxi because of neuropathy problems.) I am having another scan on the 22nd and always feel like I am pushing it by waiting. He also said...

Re: PET scan coming up... yep, scanxiety!

OMG I mixed up my colonoscopy instructions with my PET/CT instructions. And they wonder if chemo affects the brain. Please NOBODY take Movi prep for CT. :)

Re: PET scan coming up... yep, scanxiety!

I beat you by a week, my is on the 22nd. I have been out of chemo since last Sept and it seems every pet and ct gets scarier. My G.I. guy says only protein the day before and of course the lovely Movi prep. Every place that I can think of mets going, hurt right now Hmmm. Anyway, Good luck to you, go...

Re: More on Vit D

I live in a small city and I have an onc (1 of 5 in town) who is said to be the best in town but--- it is a small. While I was in chemo and truly uneducated he spoke very little, gave little advice. Since I have been off chemo and I have come to the forum he is paying more attention to what I say bu...

Re: Scope is DONE!!

WOW that is great news! I have one coming up on the 22nd and dread the thought, but meatloaf and mashed potatoes sounds great. I am beginning to feel like kid on this forum, when things go great for people I want to stand up and cheer, but when it's a bad day I feel like crying. GONGRATULATIONS Polo65

Re: age and colon cancer

I believe that one saving grace that each of us on this forum imparts is: all of my friends not very old and old have had a colonoscopy done since my diagnosis. The one thing I can do is educate, talk to people although ours is not a pretty cancer or even gender specific(it seems okay to talk about ...

Re: "Some thinning"? Gimme a break

My hair thinned by about 50%, so I cut it short, but then it grew back almost completely gray and without any of the curl I had before---I Hate it. But I HATE cancer more!

Re: COLON CHEMO UPDATE

I am a 1965-1968 Women's Army Corp vet. I guess we have some things in common. I am a stage 4 colon cancer, but am being treated by a private onc here in california. What I want to say to you is we (you and I) signed up when there were few women in the service and I know that we are fighters, and ju...

Do you think every pain is cancer?

I guess I need to know if everyone feels this way or am I a worry wart. Every time I feel a pain I KNOW that my cancer has spread. I went to my onc yesterday and was told it was time for blood work and Pet scan. I have been on break for seven months and I worry constantly. I can reassure my self for...

Re: Am I being foolish?

Terry, I have been on chemo break for seven with last two scans clean, but on my last visit to onc he told me to come back on June 1 and let him know if it was time for me to go back for chemo. There were times during the last months that I almost forgot I was stage 4, I felt great. Now I am beginni...

Re: Relationship btw cold sensitivity and neuropathy

Cold sensitivity started almost immediately, but has subsided seven months out. Neuropathy started later but is still present, I will be going to podiatrist tomorrow because I mashed my big toe and the nail isn't growing. I didn't even realize that I had injured it. My onc. gave my the choice of con...
