Re: Does Oxaliplatin really cost this much?? How much is yours??

I do have Blue Shield and Medicare but was charged as much as my chemo buddy who was on med-i-cal (state covera...

Re: Now That's More Like It

Wow, Eric you make me remember the centuries I used to ride on weekends, watching and listening to the life around me in the hills. I know that each ride is different and fascinating. Keep riding! I surely wish I had.

Re: Curious - Who is working- or on disability?

I worked part-time during treatment because I work for a company that gave me plenty of flexibility. I had taken out an AFLAC short-term disability policy that came in very handy. I of course went through all my vacation and sick time. I am now back to work full time at 66 yoa because I am afraid th...

I look to this forum for advice not for concrete answers...

Re: Chemo and Rad on hold - new major complication

Sometimes wating to FIGHT is the biggest fight. Keep poking whomever you have to, to get testing earlier. My only way to calm is take a deep breath through your nose, hold it and exhale. Good luck and keep poking.

Re: Ativan dosage??

I am 5'6" and about 170 and I try very hard to break the Ativan into quarters, half a tablet makes me a drooling zombie. I started with a prescription for 1 tab, cut it in half and needed to cut it in half again. I have friends who take a tab before going to chemo. I guess some of us are just l...

Re: Joining for my Mom!

To me the best thing you can do for your mom and rest of family is be there. I had friends that I counted on throughout my life who just could not be around me. I hurt, but I understand. My partner hurt but just does not want to talk about it. Denial, pain I do not know. Friends who did want to list...
