Re: Has anyone been on DEXAMETHASONE more than 5 months ??

It has done wonders for me and was told it could be effective longer than six months but than side effects may become a problem  I would have to be reevaluated for remaining in hospice after that time anyway. I have even been thinking about driving my stick shift. I am at the lowest dose possib...

I have been put on dexamethasone and methadone and am able to do gardening and shopping. I really had pretty much given up and laid down to die but with help of a great nurse and hospice ...

Re: news - about what I expected

Voxx,as a member of the lovenox group I got enoxaparin which is generic for lovenox for about 6 hundred a month. Going in to hospice I was told that hospice would take care of the cost.

Re: omg this is the really hard part

Well hospice came out on Friday and were extremely helpful and kind. They brought everything I need and will pay for my Lovenox. I know this may sound weird but I turned down a hospital bed for now. I can't quite figure out why I turned it down. I guess it is the finality of having a very obvious sy...

Re: Blood Clot in calf, doctor not treating it???

I was put on lovenox because clots were through out my leg I was told that if they were just in my calf they would not have been treated, I was also told that anyone with active cancer is at a much higher risk of clots. I certainly commisserate with your hubby, it is an excruciating pain.

In one of my flexiryl induced naps I swear I heard my dogs discussing something very close to what that dog mentioned. And I am keeping an eye on my big fat cat.

In the last month I was found to have three ruptured discs (ouch) numerous blood clots in my left leg so am now on Lovenox(ouch) and for the grand finale a large adrenal mass that it's causing the clots. Christine, I too am krazs wild and kras mutant. My original onc said that I was wild but Stanford said that I was mutant, I think it happens more often than we realize.

Re: mCRC STAGE IV OR RECURRENT PATIENTS thread - ONGOING

I got my asap scan scheduled for tomorrow onc (if I read him right)_is checking to see if dvt is caused by the enlargement of my Peri aortic lymph node. I haven't decided if I will do chemo again if the growth is the problem. Like Frenchie there is also the too much radiation thing going on, scan wa...
