Re: new to the forum i'm worried about my mom high cea

That is a lot of information. We are not doctors however and we are not qualified to make speculations about your mothers case. All I can advise is to keep advocating for your mother and seek other opinions from doctors if you are not satisfied with the care your mother is getting. But we are not ex...

Re: This chemo is knocking me down

The effects of chemo are cumulative. Every one was worse than the one before for me. My doctor finally cut the dose on the last two treatments. I got my chemo every 3 weeks and the only time I felt good in those 6 months was the day I got chemo and the day after because they jacked me up with steroi...

Re: symptoms of colon cancer

We are not doctors. Any concern about your health needs to be addressed with a doctor. We cannot help you. It would be irresponsible of us to give out medical advice as we are not qualified to do so.

Re: Delaying treatment?

That’s a really tough choice. There really is no way to predict the outcome of delaying chemo for a few weeks. All I can say is what I would do. I would give my baby every possible second before birth to improve his life. I have a 14 year old son. I would not hesitate to give my own life for him. Yo...

Re: Chemo after Surgery?

I did not do chemo and I’m 10 years out from diagnosis. No reoccurrence. I stay on top of my checkups and colonoscopies.

Re: A distressing situation

Are there no privacy laws with regards to health records in your country? Nobody should be looking at your mothers scans and discussing her case behind her back. I’d be having a very frank conversation with your brother about his mother in law looking at your mothers scans. She is not a radiologist ...

Re: Super scared that I might have CC

We aren’t doctors. Any concern about your health should be addressed by a doctor. Sounds like you are doing just that. We really can’t help you. You just have to wait for the colonoscopy. It’s not that far out. Good luck.

Re: Staged T3N1 for Rectal Cancer Today

Looking at this chart, it appears that you would be IIIA to me. https://www.cancer.org/cancer/colon-rectal-cancer/detection-diagnosis-staging/staged.html Edited to add...I think you are right. I looked at it again. They have changed the staging since I was diagnosed. I don’t recall as many sub stages.

Re: Ladies what did you do with your hair during chemo?

Talk to a hairdresser. They can probably help you with style ideas and products to help it appear thicker. I lost all my hair to chemo for ovarian cancer. It came back nice and full but I experienced massive hair loss when I switched my hormone therapy last spring. I was ready to cut it very short b...

Re: Pressure in rectum. PLEASE HELP.

Perhaps you need to talk to somebody about your anxiety. You already know you don’t have colon cancer. You have had a colonoscopy to confirm this. What may or may not be going on with you is not colon cancer. I don’t mind questions from people who don’t have cancer but understand this is a board of ...

Re: New and scared...

There are risks in any procedure. If you want o know what’s going on, you just have to suck it up and get the colonoscopy. Every one of us on this board that has been diagnosed with colon cancer had had at least one colonoscopy, most of us several. I’ve not heard of anybody suffering a bowel perfora...

Re: RESTRICTIONS ON IMMODIUM SALE

You have to take a lot of Imodium to get high. Limiting the sale of Imodium isn’t going to affect those who are taking it appropriately for diarrhea. It’s no different than when they limited the sales of Sudafed. It doesn’t affect those that aren’t cooking it down for meth. Those that need it will s...
