Re: just wongering updated

Yesterday you posted about wanting to unjoin. Today, you tell us to get a grip, learn how to read, and that this is a truly not a place for support. You blame us for not understanding what you meant. Communication is a two way street. I believe you have misunderstood what many of us have tried to sa...

Re: How do you deal with constipation?

I would start a daily dose of miralax on chemo day one. And I would do that as long as I was still taking anti nausea meds....some of those cause the constipation.

Re: just wondering

I haven't been NED since 1st year diagnosis, so I haven't had to discuss with onc long term follow-up. But, every 6 mos for rest of your life does seem excessive. If a long term survivor sees this post, you might get better answer. Re:colonoscopy...I had one a year after diagnosis, just as a follow ...

Re: Chemo for Life - how many on this site?

Count me in. I have had a few breaks, here and there, when no tumors were visible. Or when I was too sick to stay on the current regimen. Will be four years in April. I have done two clinical trials during that time, one on regorafenib, just before it was released by FDA. Another for a drug called A...

Bad idea

Watching "the Bucket List" when you are feeling blue. Should just turn on the silly football game, but I have no interest. It's crazy, but I don't get scanxiety for myself, but I have a serious case of it for my sister. She is two years out from her ovarian cancer diagnosis and getting a r...

Re: Who said surgery's can'tbe fun?

If this is not urgent, I suggest you get a second opinion with a gyn oncologist,. If you haven't -already. Reason why? Gyn oncologists have the most experience doing difficult hysterectomies. They might be able to do the surgery robotically, which is an easier recovery, usually. If you absolutely do...

Re: Sleepless in.....

Hi! I don't sleep well either, but I am not NED, and still in active treatment. Couple other possibilities, besides chemo or cancer... Certain drugs, menopause, depression, sleep apnea. Your sleep environment not being conducive o rest. Things I have heard over the years. Cut back on alcohol, nicoti...

Re: So any one...

I am very close to being in your shoes. My next CT isin 2 weeks. If there is significant progress, the only thing left is a trial. I don't want to do a phase 1 either. I have failed regorafenib. Taken off Zaltrap because of complications. So, in a couple weeks will be hard choices. Have looked into ...
