Re: When it's time, you know...

Thanks Gaelen! All the best on this part of your journey. I have read your post to my children (20 and 24), to let them understand how the patient feels as Peter is basically at the same place as you are. After 8,5 years! You were in this together! But he can't put it in words like you do, and I rea...

Re: Dry eyes serum - Autologous eye serum

Thanks Cheese, he started on it last night! And he already says things seems less blurry already. I hope in a few days he will feel that it really helps more. You know that a person with cancer can loose their sight with dry eyes like this. This is what the specialist says. I really hope this helps ...

Dry eyes serum - Autologous eye serum

Hi, Pete suffered from dry eyes lately which affected his eyesight VERY MUCH. Blurry, battle to read etc. Look at this serum which they usually make from a patients own blood, but in his case his sister donated the blood, and they made the serum for him. We received it yesterday, and started to put ...

Re: new lung mets and rib mets radiated - need knowlege

Thanks Donna, after the blood transfusion on Friday, Peter is still sleeping. He has this thing on his bucket list that he still wants a Mercedes before .... and he went to look at them last week. He wants to make sure I am okay for one day if he is not here. Or in other words, to say thank you to m...

Re: new lung mets and rib mets radiated - need knowlege

Hi Donna, my Dh also has a bone met (amongst all other mets) to his right upper rib at the back. He had severe pain, only Morphine could stop the pain. But then he had radiation (only 5 treatments) for pain and it helped. No pain. Then while he was on Mito C, the pain stayed away for 4 months, and t...

Re: Erbitux Questions

My hubby Pete is KRAS-Wild type and it didn't work for him. He was on a trial, and only on it for 4 months. THey monitored him so good, beter than ever before, because it was a trial Erbitux/Vectibix and the weekly/bi weekly side effects. It was only about 1000 people around the world - besides USA,...

Re: Liver Surgeon tomorrow

Hi Diane, I see you are searching info on liver surgery and recovery time. I can perhaps just add a little bit. Peter had 2 times liver surgery. In 2006 (after 6 months chemo (folfox and avastin), he had the Gastroenterologist/Liversurgeon/ specializing on livers cut out part of the one lobe, and RF...

Re: Update on life, and Call on Congress news

Bev, I really really feel so sorry for you! I wish I could be nearer to be there for you. I know what support I give Peter and how he would have handled everything if I was not there for him. Between him with the cancer and my doggie Mini (Miniature Pincher) with diabetes, I would easlily adopt you ...

Re: Bad News today

Hallo Diane, I am so sorry to hear this. Our thoughts and prayers be with you. Pete already got 2 liver ops. I can remember how I felt when we heard it the first time that it spread after being 2,5 years NED.

Best wishes and love from our side!
