Hello Kiersten, You came to the right place! First of all, I am sorry that you are going through this but you will perservere! I was not nervous about my surgery. I was so anxious to have the tumor removed that I did not think past that. My recovery was slow and painful (in my abdominal area) but ve...

Question regarding survivorship?!?!

I am approaching 1 year of survivorship! Can anyone tell me what day is my official survivorship anniversary? Is is the date of diagnosis, day of surgery, first day or last day of chemo? I am so excited to put one year behind me and am looking forward to a healthy and hopeful 2007. I plan on celebra...

Magnolia, Thank you for your post!! I was just trying to explain those feelings to someone last night but did not seem to do it very well. You explained it beautifully! I feel exactly that way. I just try to tell myself that the fact my support has faded means I am healthy....for the time being. I t...

Hey Molly,
I just read your post after posting mine....seems like we found the same book helpful. I smiled at your semi-colon reference because that is the name of my support team. We even have bright pink shirts with purple semi-colons on them. Hope you are doing well!

Hi Sharon, We were both dx in January with stage III and I finished my treatments at the end of July. I just read your post and am sad to hear that the docs found a new mass. So it seems to me that you don't know for sure if it is cancer. I am not sure what Lynch syndrome is or what your age is but ...

I was also told by my onco that not many people make it through all the treatments. After my last one I told my husband I was glad it was over because I would not have been able to do it again. My Onco said that trial studies are based on 12 sessions so whether or not the chemo has done it's job at ...
