I only wish my friend could have surgery. He also was diagnosed with rectal cancer. After radiation and chemo (Xeloda) the tumor shrank enough to have surgery. During the surgery they found cancer in his liver. I don't remember when they found more cancer in his lungs-it's all a blur but they did an...

The records take forever because the County Hospital is for poor people and is painstakingly show in all that they do with the amoun...

Eileen, thanks so much for your posts. You have given me the correct info - the doctor seems to have been wrong about the number. I'm going to do some research on this ASAP now that I have something to go by. Can you please let me know what regimen you were on? Are you all done? Thanks again so much...

re: Correct name of trial - E7208. Anyone heard of this

I may have the number wrong - I thought that is what the doctor told me over the phone today but I may have misunderstood exactly. Whatever the drug is, it is so new instead of a name they've assigned a number to...

re: Diet IS cruicial - 20 year remission Dr. Ruth Heidrich

I'm new on this board - I'm on the Cancer Survivor Network in support for my friend Mark who has Stage IV rectal cancer. I am always singing the praises of Dr. Ruth Heidrich, a woman that has forever changed my life. I met her online when doing research on osteoporosis after my mom had been diagnose...
