Colon Cancer Takes a GREAT ONE - Kate Murphy

I did not see any posts about this and Kate Murphy was VERY active on ACOR and Fight Colorectal Cancer. She had the gift of researching anything and everything to do with ColoRectal Cancer and will be GREATLY missed! She passed yesterday 10-3-2012.

Re: RixinPhx passed away today

I HAD NO IDEA this happened, I am crushed beyond belief. In fact I had my support group this week that he came to for a year and I said he was in Hospice and to come and find out he is gone is heartbreaking! I have been so enthralled with my own grief and out of touch, I am just so sick about this!!...

Coming up for Air

I have been in a fog since September 3rd, and I am not even sure if any of you knew my mom passed unexpectedly! She had a massive brain hemorrhage while in the ER and was gone an instant! She was my best friend and several of you had the pleasure of meeting her at Call on Congress! Here are several ...

As I said I am a rare Stage III case, but I require surgery every 3 months for a frozen pelvis that comp...

Re: Having a Cancer BENEFIT

Being a "Retired" as of last Friday Federal Agent of the IRS I can say this, under no circumstances, unless if you got a 501C3 and all the rules that apply, can anyone deduct their donation on State or Federal taxes and I might add the people donating items can not get a credit either and ...

Re: EXCITING NEWS!!!!

That's great Liz!! Sorry you had to hire an attorney. Don't know about regulations for federal, but for SSDI/SSI cases they get 25% of back benefits and I *think* for the next 2 years. Hope everything else goes smoothly. -Rick I was denied SSI/SSDI for now because I was still working. But thi...

Re: Bowel Management through daily enema

This thread is a good example of not accurately clarifying which type of enema. A Fleet enema is a saline laxative. A water enema is obviously just water. When one doctor says a daily enema is OK and another doctor says it could develop a lazy colon - they may be talking about very different enemas...

Re: Uretal Stents?

I had 6 weeks of radiation and I now have SEVERE radiation damage! I have what is called a frozen pelvis and most of my organs are fused together, so much so that my Dr. could not get behind them to remove my rectal stump like they normally do for people with a perm ostomy. Another sideeffects is th...
