Re: O/T...Post Your Pics Here

How would you like to live next to THAT :?: :!: Well, I don't. Now they have cats that have adopted my front & back yard that shit in the flowerbeds & Chloe is eating it. :? Disgusting. She has been pretty much trained to stay out of the flowerbeds, but now she goes looking for it. Don't kn...

Re: With apologies to the Bare Naked Ladies, but...

...., aches and pains everywhere, full blown neuropathy that showed up after round 10 accompanied by a lack of balance. ] While it took me about 6 months, walking REALLY helped me and still does. I mostly live a normal life today, thanks to my daily walking. I was sooooo slow when I started, butt n...

Re: First Meeting with Surgeon

Second opinions are always a good idea. Do you know if you have colon or rectal cancer? If rectal, you will probably get radiation prior to surgery.

Good luck, sorry for the reason you are here.

Re: Disconnect

I disconnected myself once on Turkey Day. I did not want to delay treatment due to the holiday season. My chemo nurse spent a few weeks with me teaching me, then I had to do it pulling needle out myself, while chemo nurse watched. The next time, I did it solo. No problems. I could do it again, if I ...

Re: Surgery Tomorrow - 27th New Zealand Time

. . . About 5 days later I had tons of fecal matter come out down my legs. What a mess. They told me this was normal after getting a stoma.... This can happen even if you have an ileostomy bag on. It has a name. it's called mucoid plaque, I think. I don't think it would happen if you had an APR sur...

Re: Palliative Radiation

I had radiation in the rectum only (14+ plus yrs ago), it was successful for me. And I am aware it can be successful in other parts of the body, especially bone mets. I hope (and pray) it is successful for you too.

All the best,

Susie, Thank you for the update. Have been thinking about him Remind him, Stoma's are a good thing. I've had one for 14 years now. It does NOT hold me back. Re: The things people say to cancer patients

Some of my best friends was a husband and wife. Early on in my diagnoses, each would take me out to lunch (her one week, him next week) for the sole purpose of letting me vent my fears, frustrations, etc. What a life line that was. Laughter I have found is some of the best medicine. When I was going...

Re: The things people say to cancer patients

So sorry this happened to you. Cancer can bring out the best in your friends and the worst. I dropped a friendship with one of my supposedly best friends when I was going through treatment. I realized she was dragging me down. She was not there for me, clueless to what i was going through, and made ...
