if blood count is low or borderline?

Out of curiosity, when they do your blood work and say your blood count is borderline...what does that mean? I thought he was talking about white blood cell count, but i thought when they tell you those numbers it's like 12 or 14 or (as in my case last week) 10.7. But they won't let me go get my che...

melissa, woops, you must have been posting the same time i was... but thank you for your story, i guess i'm a bit confused. if you have a total colostomy, don't you need to have an ileostomy too? oh and sex...jesus i can't even think about that now. i can't imagine the affect on my self esteem from ...

Tammy, someone actually directed me to your site last week and i sent you an email through there...not sure how often you check the email listed on the site. b/c your story seems so similar to mine (outside of mine being genetic) but it's also stage 3...and i'm very young as well (turn 26 at the end...

Thank you susuan...it is always nice to hear you're not alone. unfortunately i'll be having radiation BEFORE the surgery, so there isn't the option to push the ovaries out of the way. i guess i'm just stuck. but yes, i'm sure life will eventually....one day...get back to normal. like i mentioned in ...

wow, thank you whoever you are.... interesting points. see, my thing is...in me wanting to live my life at least somewhat 'normally' after this, for me it would mean i'd be able to continue with what i love. and what i love is a (VERY) acrobatic form of martial arts from brazil. I've been doing it f...

well, oddly enough it's not the thought of not being able to have children that bothers me the most. i never really wanted kids (though none of my doctors will allow me to think i've made that decision, they think i'm too young..but waaaay before i ever had this problem i never really wanted kids) i...

I have to take estrogen for the rest of my life? isn't hormone replacement therapy sketchy? possible cancer causing? there's no way around the menopause hm? Doesn...

i do get avastin, and 5FU and oxaliplatin (er, sp?) (i'm still really new to this all, these drug names and regimens are confusing to me). I've had 2 treatments, and go in for the 3rd next week. i did mention it to my doctor after the first treatment and he said something about it being expected (so...
