Re: This SUCKS, and we haven’t even begun to fight

The quick and dirty version is : In the post you wish to "quote", click the quotation marks inside the box in the upper right of the post. That will bring up a text reply box containing that person's posted text with the special quote codes at each end
and
for example I ...

Re: This SUCKS, and we haven’t even begun to fight

Thank you, EVERYONE. I haven’t figured out how to reply to each comment. I’d like to think I’m a pretty smart person, but even this little thing of figuring out how to quote a tiny piece and reply reminds me I’m not all that. YOU ARE SERIOUSLY WARRIORS. I’m up and down. Full of dreadful thoughts and...

Re: Things Not to Say and the Responses I want to Make (Rant)

I am scared for us because i already feel the pressure and failure and misery and failure and unapproachableness (I know that’s not a word). I hate it. People ar...

This SUCKS, and we haven’t even begun to fight

Are any other apouses of victims on here? THESE POOR VICTIMS OF CANCER HAVE IT WORSE, but being a spouse during this is second place. I’m between panic and tears, then knowledge-grabbing (I AM SO THANKFUL FOR THE HELP YOU HAVE GIVEN), and now I’m mad at everyone for not doing anything. What’s worse ...

Laid off before Dx

Any advice for us? Husband was laid off as business project manager in company buyout and restructuring, went in for routine colonoscopy, diagnosed with cancer while laid off. Now we are looking at a full year of surgeries and chemo plan. Praise God he has COBRA. Financial advice/hope. We have child...

Chemo & Radiation BEFORE 1st Surgery - What to Expect?

Thank you in advance for telling me how to prepare for supporting my husband this summer. Side effects? Plan is 6 or so weeks radiation and chemo; then 6 weeks to “cool down” before surgery. Surgeon wants to shrink tumor BEFORE surgery to offer more margin so that he can do TEMPORARY colostomy and t...

Re: Please help - Diagnosed yesterday and confused

Oh good, your husband will be seeing Dr. Denstman. He has been in the business for a while as you saw and has performed quite a few surgeries so it does give you peace of mind. I told him he can’t retire for a long long time! I have a permanent colostomy and he did a great job with it. As for...

Re: Please help - Diagnosed yesterday and confused

You are truly my best friends right now in the midst of panic attacks. I don’t say this lightly. Thank you. I haven’t focused enough to figure out how to tag you all in this. Praise God for you. I need you all. I just got my husband an appt with colorectal surgeon Dr. Dentsman in Delaware who not on...

Re: Please help - Diagnosed yesterday and confused

Thank you so much. This day is the most traumatic I’ve ever had. I am so scared. You are my only help right now. 1) I’m 5 minutes from the Helen F. Graham Center in Delaware. It’s website says it is that NCI thing, yet the link you sent to find NCI Cancer Centers doesn’t list it. In fact it lists no...
