My mom was a T3N2M0 as well and they suggested total neoadjuvant therapy where you get your chemo upfront to start to attack any potential spread that just may not be visible. I’m so sorry that you are going through this right now and it is very scary with all the unknowns—the best thing you can do now is find a major cancer center near you, find a board certified colorectal surgeon, and familiarize yourself with the TNM staging system they use to stage colorectal cancer....

Thank you all. Really trying to not dwell on it during the holidays and just pray it ends up being nothing but in the meantime not let it ruin the “now”. Easier said than done for sure but I’m trying.

She was so helpful to me when my mom first got her ileostomy and had a bunch of problems. A very kind and caring lady.

Yes! My mom’s always vary among the three places she gets it drawn (regular doctor; chemo hospital; Mayo.

I think it’s the same for any bloodwork really.

My mom had her CEA tested before each chemo, a mid chemo scan and a post-chemo scan.
