Make that call Nicole! When we are at Mayo, we always hear how lucky we are to be in driving distance because so many people we run into have flown from all over the world.

Re: ULAR recovery process

Sounds like you are having a good recovery, which is great! I can only speak for my mom’s experience but things only got better weeks/months after reversal. She had and continues to have her “bad days” but they become less frequent as the months go by. I think they say it can take up to a year to fi...

I cursed out loud when I read the title of your thread—I am sorry you didn’t get the news you wanted today. I really hope the new cocktail is the answer and I also hope your mom was able to help provide some comfort tonight. You are one strong mama! You’ve got this.

Re: Freaking out of my mind...CEA climb and specks on lungs

Thank you so much Stu! She just got out of the meeting and they said everything looked great! The spots on her lungs got smaller even. They still want her back in 3 months for another scan but if that looks good they can go back to every 6 months. This is also when she will have her colonoscopy. I d...

Re: Freaking out of my mind...CEA climb and specks on lungs

CEA has now risen to 2.8. This CEA continues to creep upward. Also a lot of the CBC bloodwork levels continue to trend to the high point of normal (platelets, lymphocytes, etc.) I am so worried that this is all “evidence” that a recurrence is in the making. Will know more tomorrow when we get CT res...

Re: Freaking out of my mind...CEA climb and specks on lungs

Scanxiety is setting in hard.

Please send prayers/good vibes for my mom as she gets her follow up scan/bloodwork tomorrow. We will know the results of the bloodwork tomorrow and CT results on Tuesday.

Oh sorry I missed that it was your husband in your signature. Is his tumor super low? My mom had short course radiation but got the temp ileo and got it reversed about 3 months later.
