Re: Radiation during surgery

I’m sorry you are experiencing this. I’m just a year in and tire of the poking and prodding. I can imagine your are very tired of it. I don’t have much experience in this, but maybe just get one more opinion from a different cancer center?

Re: L-Glutamine

Hi
I took l glutamine as recorded my my oncology naturopath. I did 1 scoop of powder in water once daily starting the day before each treatment through the day after treatment. She said not to take it in between treatments. I noticed an improvement in neuropathy. I purchased it at Whole Foods.

Re: Gastritis CEA

Thank you for your reply, CRguy. I also think that what the dr. said is a bit off. I’m fairly new to this so I don’t know how much to trust my CEA. I’ll read through as suggested. The doc wants more tests done though. I’m off to drink my bowel prep for my yearly colonoscopy in about fifteen minutes....

Gastritis CEA

Hi all, Has anyone heard from their doctor that CEA can rise due to gastritis or other benign issues? My doc said not many things make it rise other than marijuana, but I’m hoping there is hope that my recent rise is a false alarm. I have gastritis flare ups. CEA at diagnosis: 6 , 3 months after sur...

Re: Tips for a Folfox newbie – starting Tuesday

Hi, I just wanted to put in my two cents. I did folfox a year ago and found the neuropathy to be the worst symptom for me. My naturopath reccomemded L. Glutamine the day prior to chemo through the day after. It’s a powder you dissolve in water. It did seem to help with my symptoms plus it helps to p...

Thank you both for your reply. I should probably schedule an appointment for an ultrasound.
Ron- I agree more research is needed. Great news to hear about your long survival.
Take care,

Newbie here: gallbladder or recurrence? Anyone know if gallbladder issues are common after folofox?

I’m coming up on my 1 year anniversary of diagnosis. (Stage 3, CC 2 nodes positive) I have always struggled with anxiety- specifically about getting cancer, (Oh the irony). Now that I’ve had cancer, and finished treatment, I’m becoming crippled with fear of recurrence. I have strange twinges of pain...
