Re: NEW-Need some positivity here.

Hi Lydia, So nice to hear that your scan showed still NED! I agree a stage IV mark will always follow us, but I think we are all fragile. It comes with our human condition, we drive cars, we can get a virus, our beloved ones can also get sick and leave us. So I try not to waste time and do everythin...

Re: Rectal cancer stage IV

How is your running? You still running your 5km at 4.15 pace wasn't it? That is good, really fast. Where do you run and what sort of time (morning, evening) do you run? Kiwi I try to run 3 times a week, but in winter I am just happy for whatever distance and pace, because it is often dark and slipp...

Re: Rectal cancer stage IV

Loved the news, and loved the photos. Are you starting to think of cancer less now? Thanks! Actually, I think about cancer, but as part of life, I have accepted that I might get it back, but right now I am NED and fully enjoying that :D Do you run around those fields when it is not snowing? You liv...

Re: Rectal cancer (Stage 3A) diagnosed late June 2017

My experiments without dairy for the past week or more show fewer problems without dairy. Unfortunately I like cream in my coffee but it looks like I will have to do without it. I've played around with plant-based substitutes in the past and I don't find them helpful. I switched to a milk substitut...

Re: Rectal cancer (Stage 3A) diagnosed late June 2017

Hi! A lot of people do not digest milk (lactose) after they are 12. I had a genetic test showing that I am in the group of people who should limit milk intake to one glass a day. Actually, I drank a big latte each day at work and did not have any problems. But when I got the cancer simptoms, the doc...

Re: More chemo after a solitary lung met?

Claudia, Could you please say where you were getting your treatment? From the format of dates in your signature, it appears that you are not in the United States. In the United States, there is no clear protocol for this situation and the patient is asked to make a decision. Different cancer center...
