Re: Keytruda? What else is new?

I am happy to hear that it worked out so well for you.
I just got back my CT scans after 6 months of Opdivo. They are mostly clear and only a lesion is there in lung. Earlier I had met spots in liver , lung and peritoneal region.

Cea levels are coming down too.

Re: Keytruda? What else is new?

Hi Angie, I just had my 3rd treatment of Keytruda. I was not given any end date for it. Because it is a newer thing there isn’t much data on treatment lengths. I have a dose every three weeks. The standard dose is 200mg. I think the treatment length probably varies with each infusion centre. The dr...

Re: New here...At a Crossroad

Hello everyone. I have been reading this forum for about a year now. I have found the articles on this forum to be very informative and the most kindest and caring people I have come across. I find my heart and my mind in a tug of war over my situation. I was diagnosed Nov 2015 with stage 3 cc. Dec...

Re: Anyone with Stage IVa just do Xelolda or 5-fu?

For stage 4 my view is to throw everything you have at it, at least to try it. If it was me I would do the oxi until after the first scan to see if it was working. The thing with stats is they are based off a large group of people. Over a group there was a 7% improvement. But if you get down to jus...

Re: MEDI4736 CLINICAL TRIAL (KEYTRUDA)

Had to stop Keytruda due to mouth sores and throat and mouth infection. Tumor grew and CEA up to 68. They are gonna change my therapy and let's see from there. Gotta gain bodyweight. Hope you get well soon. Shouldn't they be resuming Keytruda once infections are controlled. I use paste of an Indian...

Really nicely written. .. HI BeansMama, I hear you. Boy do I hear you! My sweetie got the Stage IV Dx September 2014. There' so much more I could say, but I'll focus on this. The day we got the diagnosis, the thought flashed through my head: "There's a guy somewhere who was the last guy diagnos...

Re: Keytruda? What else is new?

Fatigue is the most persistent. It started out as just standard fatigue, but has since progressed to what can only be described as narcoleptic. The last two weeks I have seen a large increase in bleeding during loose bowel movements, which have become frequent enough to keep me from sleeping. I was...

Re: Any Chemo Lifers? Incurable Stage 4

Hi. Read my sig. I believe we owe it to life to keep on fighting the good fight. Plus, I can't stand the thought of leaving my boy, even though he's gonna be 21, and looks like he's gonna be a good, strong man. Besides, it's easier to die than it is to live, and it's in the hard that makes it worth ...

Re: Calling ALL Colorectal CANUCKS !

Hello
Is there any update for approval of Keytruda or Opdivo for msi-H CrC by Health Canada now that it has been approved by FDA in USA?
What sort of time lag is there normally for such approvals.
Regards.

Re: very discouraged with this cancer business

Hey all, I am going to tell some of my story and gripe and vent a bit. This is hard to do with friends and family sometimes because I don't want to lay a heavier burden on them. I was diagnosed June 2016 and had a right hemicolectomy. I was staged 3b or 3c (I have 2 different reports one saying 6 o...

Re: very discouraged with this cancer business

Hello
Since you are msi-H , please explore immunotherapy options .
And if you can afford go in for Nivolumab or Keytruda off plan while awaiting for approval in Canada.
If not able to get local approval, consider overseas options.
Best wishes.
