Re: Love this site

Welcome to CT.

Not a place you want to be but glad to see the support that is written on these pages. Such a wealth of information from people who have lived the walk we are now taking.

I get great hope from the many survivors.

Re: granix extreme bone pain

My oncologist said the mouth issues are caused by the 5fu. I can't even imagine how bad they would be without the Magic Mouthwash. I start using it at the first sign and stop when it goes away. I use about a half of a bottle each session. I did ask if my body would get used to the 5FU and it would s...

I have no idea what my genetics are only that my cancer is not genetic. They have not tested yet and not sure if they have even finished the paperwork to send to my ins. company (the ins co denied the request the first time). I totally get you being happy to get back on the chemo train. I was off fo...

Re: NEW-Need some positivity here.

In my signature area I have my elevated CEA numbers. I take great pleasure in those numbers going down. It is still pretty high but the last check showed it going down finally. Optimal number is less than 5. I have a long way to go... My next check should be coming up soon. I pray there is an even g...

Re: HAI pump treatment in the US besides MSKCC?

I have googled but I can't find anything that does the HAI pump in the Detroit area. I would like to find one around there since I have family I could stay with in that area. Are there any around Detroit or even Ann Arbor? Dr William D Ensinger in Ann Arbor did some HAI work back in 2002. He might ...

Re: New member question

I haven't found one either. The best advice is there is a red box to the left of the the member's name when it is a new post.

Re: What was everyone's symptoms of colon cancer

Mine was found during my first colonoscopy. It was that age thing. Hit 50 and get checked. I was just a tad behind getting it done at 53.

No symptoms to warn me that it was there.

Recurrence but in a different place, not in the colon, was a whole different ballgame.
