Re: To share my “ghost” story

Funny... until I recently had a problem to ask a question, I have been the same way. I have an appt with my colorectal surgeon to take a look at my bum since I have had some pains recently. Though the more I think about it, those pains have been there since a long time ago, just were frequent lately...

Rectal Pain concern / previous rectal cancer

Hi all, Been a long while since I have posted. About 2 and half months ago I got my 2 year all clear scan and had been feeling good. For the past couple of weeks I have had some odd pains in my rectum. It feels similar to when I have had hemorrhoid issues and assuming that is most likely the culprit...

Re: Reversal Journal -- just had the surgery this morning.

It has been a couple of months since I have updated. Things are going really well for the most part. For some reason the past few days I have had a few issues with a bit of frequency here and there. I can eat pretty much anything I want now. I can safely have a couple of beers or a glass or two of w...

NED since surgery, just over one year. Have a colonoscopy this coming Monday and CT scans in March. Praying to stay that way!

Re: Feeling “NED”

I can completely relate with that feeling. I have a colonoscopy this Monday, not too worried like I was on previous exams, but feeling optimistic and after that one I won't have another check until March. I was also stage 3. I will admit a little nervousness coming, but for a good while there I wasn...

Re: Reversal Journal -- just had the surgery this morning.

Give an update. I still go quite a bit some days. It seems like every other day is more active than the other. I don’t seem to have much restrictions on food anymore. My stool is always solid and has gotten a lot harder. I still will go 6-8 times in a day sometimes, but I would classify it has frequ...

Re: Blood in stool? Am I imagining it?

I sent the doctor a message on my chart (with clevaeland Clinic) After some research I am thinking (and hoping) it is more likely an anal fissure. Since my cancer was slow growing and I just got the all clear less than a month ago, and 2 and half months ago had a flex sig, and gastro-gapphine enema,...

Re: Blood in stool? Am I imagining it?

Ok just went again and it is definitely blood.

Is it possible it is something other than cancer? I JUST was scanned less than a month ago. I had the reversal in August... I am on an aspirin regiment so I do bleed a little easy but still, freaking out here.

Blood in stool? Am I imagining it?

So I had ny reversal done a couple of months ago. I just had my most recent high resolution CT scans less than a month ago and everything was clear. My stool has been unusual since my reversal off and on. The past few days i have drank a lot more coffee than usual and noticed this morning that my st...

Re: Reversal Journal -- just had the surgery this morning.

I figured out what the orange color I kept seeing was. I started taking Tumeric/Curcumin supplements about a week or two ago, forgot that would dye my poos quite a bit that bright orange you see. So last night i was able to have a glass of wine with dinner (out with work) and zero issues. Two months...

Re: Reversal Journal -- just had the surgery this morning.

Latest update. Been pretty good. Flew to Pittsburgh to get my quarterly CT scans. Trip was uneventful with bowel issues. After I drank the stuff for the contrast I had some bowel issues for a little while that afternoon. I notice if I am forced to hold it for a good while, it seems to help. High Res...

Re: Reversal Journal -- just had the surgery this morning.

Well the past couple of days haven't been the best. Been back to work so eating out at lunch and it is hard to know what all the ingredients are so having some issues. Frequency and slight clustering are the main culprits. I decided to add some Metamucil pills (hate drinking the liquid powder versio...

Re: Reversal Journal -- just had the surgery this morning.

Good luck Basil! You will have up and down days going forward. Sometimes it is hard to pin-point what caused it but overall doing really well. Sometimes have hemorrhoid issues from going a lot, and saw tiny flecks of blood on my toilet paper that freaked me out for a second until I realized it def w...
