Re: Possibly still NED...our story to date

I had some down time yesterday afternoon so I spent it looking at the images from the MGH December MRI. I measured the segment 6 spot and it looked .9 cm to me when you use the auto magnification. If you increase the magnification one notch up, it adjusts to 1.3 or so. The radiologist at MGH could ...

Re: Pump people recurrence question

I tried to get one of the chemopomp pumps for my husband. I heard back from the Erasmus MC Cancer Institute. They say: "The unfortunate circumstance is that our pump, manufactured by Tricumed GmBh in Kiel (Germany) has no FDA approval. As far as I know this doesn't allow US centers to implant ...

Re: O/T but I completed my half marathon!

Congratulations. - My wife would have given you a big thumbs up. She was a long time runner - Joined her HS Boys CC team when there were no such thing as girls CC. Ran 5, 10K's and half marathons and was training for a marathon when she was diagnosed. The fatigue from Chemo ended her running. She t...

I hope your surgery was successful. I had saved your thread & now getting around to reading it all with a reply. Instead of just trusting my Onc, I consult with a Pulmonologist. Since my lungs are strong: he says for me to NOT let anyone cut on my lungs. (I see at the Club that many have had su...

Re: My CRC with liver mets journey

When I got to chemo today, I was still a little bloated and mentioned my bloating this weekend. The doctor said it seemed like normal GI side effects, but she heard a slightly higher pitch in my belly, so she sent me for an X-ray before treatment just to make sure the infection I had previously had...

On my husband’s PET scan they could see 2 nodules in his lung. They were noted as 8mm and 11mm on the CTscan a week earlier.

Re: Pump people recurrence question

Actually, upon further review of the website, it looks like it is definitely not the Medtronic-Codman adaptation. The site states, "The chemo pump has no battery but a gas that together with the body temperature provides the driving force for circulating chemotherapy." That is a descripti...

Re: Lung Mets told. Inoperable. Need advice on options

Hi Donna, while we wait for experts to comment. My husband will have RFA (Radiofrequcy ablation) on lung lesion(s), (I’m not sure today if it will be done on 1 or 2.) While looking on internet for info about ‘our’ doctor, who will be doing the RFA, I found that he had written this paper about a pati...
