Re: can stage 1 colon cancer post colectomy spread to the lungs?

Hi,

I was stage A back in 2013 and didn’t have any mop chemo after my resection. Year 1 scan was clear, year 2 scan had three suspect nodules on my lung.

Two lung surgeries in 2016 and mop up chemo followed. I’m scanned every six months

Re: Lung Mets?

I had 3 nodules identified on my lungs at my 2 year scan. I left it 3 months and then was told by my thoracic surgeon that he would operate, that was back in, Feb and March. I started capox in May and finish my eighth and final cycle on Wednesday. If surgery isn't possible as that's what id be pushi...

Adjuvant treatment finishes soon - what next

Morning all, I've got one more oxi session to go on the 28/9 and then 2 weeks of tablets which is obviously great news but what can I do next to minimise the chances of another reoccurance? During treatment I've put on a bit of extra weight, despite being active so that's my number one priority alon...

Re: Stop the clustering to travel

I'm due to start irrigation shortly once my chemo finishes in early October. I've been reading some good reports and it very easy to do using the mini irrigation systems

Qufora is the one I will be using

Re: Clustering

Hi all, Thanks for the responses. Having spoken to the colorectal support nurse we decided to give irrigation a try using the qufora system although I'm going to have to wait for my chemo to finish first. I them meantime I'll focus on diet and try a bit more experimentation to find a balance that wo...

Clustering

Hi all, I'm struggling at the moment with clustering of my bowel movements. I had an LAR three years ago and whilst it's not been an easy ride I have managed to get by. I have a very small amount of rectum left which doesn't help but I'm currently going to the toilet about 5 or 6 times in 15 minutes...

Re: Still longterm NED after a lung met

Was that a personal choice or advised? I only ask as I'm just undergoing chemo following lung met surgery.

My surgeon didn't think I should have chemo and my onc said I should.

Re: to quit oxaliplatin or not?

Hi, I started with neuropathy straight after cycle one, before I even left the chemo unit. That evening I then had excruciating back pain from my kidneys processing the drug. I was on 270mg of Oxi, this has since been halved to 135mg and I had minimal neuropathy and no kidney pain following my 2nd c...
