Re: How did you find recurrence after being NED and released by Dr

Hello Roadrunner Thank you for your reply. I had Covid 3 months ago at the end of July. I have seen my white blood count fluctuate just not as much as it did this time. I know once I get the scan and results I will feel better knowing it may be nothing but thought I 'd check in with others while I w...

Hello All I haven’t posted in a while as I was beginning to forget about cancer since I’m 3 1/2 years out and all has been good. Butt within the last week out of nowhere I have become extremely constipated. Last Monday during the day all BMs were normal then that evening I had 2 bouts of diarrhea. E...

Re: Shoulder hurts after port flush?!

Hi AppleTree I had a very similar experience but with my pic line in my arm. I went to have it flush and bandage changed told the nurse it hurt and I could barely dress myself since I couldn’t raise my arm, she sent me to the ER and they discovered I had several blood clots. I don’t want to scare yo...

Alcohol use since diagnosis

Hello fellow members, sorry I don’t post much because I don’t feel like I have much to offer to all you insightful folks but I was wondering how many of you still drink alcohol after being diagnosed? I really enjoy a good glass of wine or 2 sometimes but I have also read that that you should not dri...

Re: Juicing and vegetarian diet

HI LMighty I did both, I juiced all through my chemo treatments and faired pretty well. I never got sick during the process, and felt like the raw nutrients from juicing helped with that. I would definitely recommend starting slowly if her body is not used to large outs of vegetables. Hope that help...

Re: Going vegetarian - worth the trouble?

HI AnnClare I was not vegetarian when I was diagnosed but thought I would try it. It took awhile to find what worked best for my body type, and I have labs done to monitor my vitamin , minerals sugar and inflammation to make sure I am getting what I need. For me a 90 % plant based diet works best. I...

Re: Eating Healthy on a Low Residue Diet?

I would just like to add that yes Chris Wark did have surgery which is probably what cured him, but I agree he has some great food advice and you may also want to check out Kris Carr. She has an incurable slow growing cancer and sustains her immune system through juicing and a plant based diet. I us...

Long tern stage 3 NED, any scares along the way

I was curious and wanted to see if any of you long term stage 3 NED have had any scares along the way while remaining NED? Examples spots on bones but turned out to be benign etc.I have been NED since surgery in Feb.2016 but seems like with each ct scan a new thing pops up for them to watch, so just...
