Ct scans

I don’t understand how things change from one scan to the next. I just received my 2 year annual scan and I am still cancer free. No evidence of metastatic disease. They did however note I have a 1.5cm nodule on the right lobe of thyroid and 2mm kidney stone. My previous scans have both mentioned a ...

Re: Digestive issues after rectal cancer treatment

I had most of my rectum removed due to Rectal cancer. After my reversal I was like you 20+ time a day. You can try this. It has worked for me as I now only go about 3x a day . Some days are better than others. 1. Start a probiotic like ALIGN. They are expensive but they work. Costco sells a 2 month ...

Re: New here - Nervous and worried.

Worrying does no good. You have had several test that show nothing. Ct scan sounds normal. Try to relax and enjoy yourself. You are scheduled for a colonoscopy and it doesn’t sound like it’s colon cancer from all of your test results.

Re: Hate prepping and now They found a polyp!

I think it is pretty common to have flat polps with lynch. My oncologist has even suggested to have colonoscopy for every 6 months instead of 1 year to be in safer side. I just pray that yours will be benign. Muc I was thinking of going that route as well after this. My heart can’t take this. Is th...

Re: Hate prepping and now They found a poylop!

. . . I am not sure if a polyp can turn cancerous in 9 or 10 months? Anyone have thoughts? I could be wrong, butt I don't think so. I know you have Lynch, thus polyps can grow faster, butt I believe it still take 2-3 yrs for a Lynch person to develop cancer from a polyp. For the general population,...

Re: Hate prepping and now They found a poylop!

The polyp is 15mm and it grew in one year. It doesn’t look cancerous on the picture. It looks like healthy pink tissue. Doctor and nurse don’t think it is , but want to see biopsy results. They want to do another colonoscopy in 3 months . I am not sure if a polyp can turn cancerous in 9 or 10 months...

Re: Hate prepping and now They found a poylop!

This is the reason you need to have a colonoscopy every year - to check and remove any polyps. With Lynch, polyps generally grow quicker, and so the risk for colon cancer increases, hence the need for yearly colonoscopies. It is more than likely benign. Try not to stress while waiting for your resu...

Re: Experiences with T1 - please share with me

Hi, you can look at my line below. I had a 1.5cm lesion that was graded a T1 in my rectum. I went to see a colorectal surgeon. Here is what he told me., You have two options. One scoop out the tumor as it was just entering the mucosa. He said if you go that route we have no idea if you have lymph no...

Re: Hate prepping

Well I am back at home and they found a 15mm poylop. They removed it and I’m waiting on biopsy. I feel sick and wAnt to cry. I had 5 small poylops last year and now this. I hate lynch and colon cancer. I am praying it comes back benign. It looks like healthy tissue and nothing like my cancerous lesi...

Hate prepping and now They found a polyp!

I know it is for my health, but I wish they could come up with a better way for us to get cleansed. Gotta go I feel my bowels starting ...
