Options other than death?

This week we had 2.5 liters of ascites drained, and sudden appearance of cancer coming through one of my scars from resection and hai pump surgery in June. We have a scan tomorrow then meet with dr Kemeny Monday. Has anyone experienced this and had other options beside stopping treatment and going t...

Re: Cancer growing through scar?

Thank you all. Before all this started, I had never been to the hospital, was in great shape, barely even took an aspirin for headaches. Then a year ago, at 45 all that changed and I am concerned about any ache, pain, etc. While it took a while...this spot had healed after we packed it for a number ...

Cancer growing through scar?

In June/July, I had HAI and resection surgery. The lowest open wound from that surgery was at the belt line and took the longest to heal....likely due to the irritation from the belt line. It was Mid to late Aug before it closed and was dry. Since that time has been fine. Sunday it 'caught' me with ...

Re: on to FOLFIRI, with severe nausea at +4 +5 days

For me, the nausea cycle didn't break until I started using compazine as a preventative. I start taking it the night immediately following the treatment.

Re: Ugh Folfiri is not my friend...

Sorry to hear this but not surprised. I had to change thing a bit from folfox routine. The night immediately following treatment, I take a compazine. I do so again the following day/evening. That normally is enough to get me through the nausea. The nasty taste in the mouth......haven't found a way a...

Re: Anybody else accindently pull the tubing out of their port...I did :(

Oh man.....so sorry Teri. This is one of my fears and I've had a close call very similar to yours. I tape the connector to my hairy chest so I'll have an early warning system......it's grabbed my attn a few times. I know what you mean about feeling concerned with the lost dosing. As much as I don't ...

Re: Results of my clinical trial - pls read, VERY important

i spoke to Dr. Isadora Guggenheim, the naturopathic doctor mentioned in Vilca's post, about setting a consult appointment at her clinical office in Nyack, NY, as well as receiving the initial 10 cycle ozone treatment next week. She was very enthusiastic with the ozone therapy results obtained by Dr...

Re: Hai pump end of June but cea rising. Scared

Thank you all. Last evening Dr. Kemeny had her nurse call us with a personal message...."we know you are concerned, but don't worry. We have seen this before. Wait for the scan in Sept. Until then rest easy. ". Whether she is ultimately right or wrong in this instance, we love dr. Kemeny. ...

Hai pump end of June but cea rising. Scared

I'm scared and want to cry. We worked so hard to get to the HAI pump and dr kemeny. In June cea was 129. Then we had pump placement AND colon resection to remove the primary. They said biopsy showed the primary still alive. Liver tumor biopsies showed mostly or all dead. So we thought cea taken a we...

Post sigmoid resection heaviness below navel

Wound healing well for surgery end of June. Also installed the HAI pump on left side. I have a very real heaviness from navel to just below the belt line. It's primarily dead center with the incision and about 3 inches on each side. When my bladder is full, I'm uncomfortable....until relief. Anyone ...
