Re: Had my 10th colonoscopy today

Had colon cancer at 21 and just had my large intestine removed at 53. I see your 10 scopes and raise you 30. I’ve had 40 colonoscopies over the years. Was going 2x per year the first 3 years from my initial surgery. That’s a lot of preps... I hope you get your preps comped after that many. Frank

Re: New here should I be worried?

YOU want to know about YOUR situation, SO.... the retest CEA in 3 months is standard good practice, talk to your Onc about also monitoring other markers (CA 19-9) push for another CTscan sooner "than suggested" The onc did say if this next test was elevated again they would bump up my nex...

Re: New here should I be worried?

Thanks for the replies I just found out my lab normal range is 0-4 so what scale would that be? I can see where CEA causes a lot of unwanted stress in an already stressful situation

New here should I be worried?

A brief history. I was dx with rectal cancer just over two years ago. t3nomo my CEA was 1;6. I did the 5 wks chemo/rad and had the LAR open surgery 5 months later. I elected to do the folfox chemo after my surgery revealed no tumour and no nodes out of two dozen were malignant. Doctors said I had a ...
