Sending this in complete shock. After a clear scan in May, DH was diagnosed with a 3.5 cm brain metastasis yesterday. Only symptom was some headaches that started last week.

Anyone have something similar happen?

Re: Family friend Stage IV recurrence

This seems like a manageable recurrence that can be removed with some surgery and mop-up chemo. Prayers to them this is all it is.

Re: Stage IV...NED....AGAIN

Great news! Congratulations. What type of surgery was utilized on the lungs. (Vats, etc). Thanks I am not sure. I know they did a few wedge resections and did take an entire lobe from the right. He lost about 35 percent lung capacity. We are told his body will adjust to it and we slowly see it happ...

Awesome news! Any idea how to get a hold of dr. Lin? DH is clear since lung surgery but thinking this protocol is worth some looking into.

DH had the same after lung surgery. Coughing fits and a constant drip. Claritin helped a lot and luckily it’s not resolved.

Re: How can I help my family watch me die?

You are amazing to be thinking of them during this horrible time! I think grieving is just a part of the process and I am not sure you can make it easier. Is there nothing they can do to extend life for a bit longer with chemo? Maybe your cancer will respond to it so you can have more time with your...

Stage IV - Off chemo two years

Wanted to share that DH is approaching two years off chemo as a stage IV patient. He did the initial 6 months of folfox as mop-up to his liver and colon resection. He then had 5 spots pop up in his lungs which were removed in November and January of this year. Anyone else have similar experiences wi...

Re: Any Stage IV currently in NEDville? Please share any advice or tips? P

My husband is stage IV and has been off chemo since June 2016. He had nodes pop up in both lungs and after close to a year of stability those nodes were removed. Right lung surgery in November and the left in January.

We are now hoping it stays away for a bit as he is NED.
