Re: Colon cancer and diabetes

Thanks for the response Bob. He won't go on metformin. The doctor wouldn't argue with him. I'm actually not sure the CC is back. He had the rectal bleed in November 2022 and wouldn't go in to the GI doc until recently. His colonoscopy is June 12. Hopefully he'll change his tune if he needs chemo aga...

Re: Colon cancer and diabetes

That's so interesting. I never knew that. I hope the doctor can convince him to take it.

Colon cancer and diabetes

Hello everyone, My husband had a good-sized bleed in November 2022. He is just now getting around to going to doctors' offices. He has a colonoscopy on June 12. He just got back results from routine blood work which showed a glucose of 350 and an A1C of 12. An umbilical hernia was also found for whi...

Re: 4 years

Hi Siti. I'm so glad you posted. I'm 58 now but I went through infertility around your age too. You are not alone. I have been posting about how my husband is symptomatic but won't go to the Dr. It's nice to meet you.

Re: Long-term question - does anyone else feel extremely cold in winter?

My DH has put the heater up to 74 this week. That's too hot. I used to be the cold one.

Re: Rectal bleeding 7 years out

Hi Iwillfight. Thanks for asking. No news. Last time (2015) the doctor said he had no hemorrhoids. He didn't have any on followup, but he hasn't followed up for his 3-year check so who knows. The lung opacities were never followed up on either. The oncologist just said they were nothing. That has al...

Re: Wives of husbands with Stage IV Colon Freaking Cancer

My DH was diagnosed in 2015. His last scan was in 2017. He was supposed to follow up with colonoscopy in the fall and never did. I saw blood on his shorts the weekend after Thanksgiving. He just needs to make the call, but he won't. He is very stubborn obviously. My nagging does no good at all. It t...

Re: Rectal bleeding 7 years out

Thanks everyone. He continues to say he will get it checked out. I'm sure he will. Last time it took 4 months before he would go to the doc.

Re: Your opinion please

Thank you. DH gets every 3-year colonoscopies. Do you think that's sufficient? His docs seem to think so. I just wonder about the nodes and opacities.

Your opinion please

I'm wondering if someone would read my profile to see if you think no follow-up is reasonable.

I appreciate it.

Recurrence after 5 years

Hello all. It has been a very long time. Has anyone ever heard of recurrence after 5 years? Also, is naproxen still being recommended?

Four years NED

Hi everyone. It has been a long time. So DH is totally clear. His scan in 2017 was a little worrisome, but for those of you who have nodes and/or nodules, they have all completely disappeared. He has a colonoscopy on Monday, but we're not worried. Anyway, his last scan is next summer so I'll post hi...
