CEA levels

Hi everyone. I rely on you more than the doc!!!!! Can you tell me your opinion about these CEA levels? DH's CEA has never been very high. It was 1.4 one month after surgery in 2015. It was 1.2 in September 2016. It was 0.5 in September 2017. This year, October 2018, it was 1.6. No big deal? Thanks e...

Weight

I know what studies say, but I am more interested in your guys' experience. DH is 100 pounds overweight. Does weight really play a role in recurrence?

Re: Extremely Worried Common Iliac Lymph Node

Hi Nohogirl. The doc has not done anything. He says it has been there since the beginning and not to worry about it. DH went to two radiologists for the ct scan due to a change in insurance. One said it was 1.0 cm and the other one said it was 1.3 cm. Doc said he thought it was the same size and not...

Re: Extremely Worried Common Iliac Lymph Node

For whatever it's worth, I am continually told that my husband's 13 mm central mesenteric lymph node is nothing.

Re: 2 swollen nodes in abdomen...

Hi JEP, I'm responding to this post instead of today's post. I don't know a lot, but it seems a lot of people on this board survive on maintenance chemo if surgery is not an option. You said, "one of them is pretty big." Did they ever give the size of it? If you see my signature line, you'...

DH Scan is November

Hi everyone. I'm starting to get nervous. It's that time of year again and I'm bracing myself. If you look at my signature line, has anyone had this many nodes and nodules and had everything be ok? Doc says, "They have been there since the beginning, don't worry. They would have doubled, etc.et...

Re: CT scan report and PARA-AORTIC Lymph Nodes!

My DH has some nodes and nodules that have remained stable. My understanding is that they are benign reactive nodes but are not cancerous nodes. Just my 2 cents. Like everyone has been saying, even if it is stage4,it is still treatable.

Re: opinion on lung nodule which got increased from 3mm to 6mm after 3.5 years

I wanted to chime in too. Last CT scan, his report indicated several nodes and nodules that previous reports did not show. Onc says they were there but they were never reported (which kind of irks me). So, I got scared and went to his last appointment. Onc says they have been there since diagnosis a...

Re: Scared I have Stage IV Colon Cancer

In addition to the above, I have been told lung nodules are quite common. You're probably fine.
