You're probably aware that Lynch syndrome can strike someone out of the blue with no previous family history. It would be sensible to have it ruled out because if you are a carrier you won't be getting the screening you need. In LS a polyp can go from zero to cancer in under two years.

It all depends on if LS has already been identified in your family. If it hasn't than tests can take up to a year while if it has a simple blood test will let you know within a matter of weeks.
