Re: What happened to thread for caretakers and loved ones?

Well, if the general consensus is that the old thread is too 'contaminated' then opening a new thread is one obvious solution. PS: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=70Npi6PccBk I just introduce my 12 year old to Monty Python! Great pic Stu, if I could figure it out, I might post a couple. It just ann...

Re: FOLFOX

I’m not going to sugar coat it, it’s terrible, probably the worst I’ve done. Eat when you can, sleep as much as possible, keep warm water on hand. The Oxi works very well but there is a price to pay for it, and remember the side effects are also cumulative, it just gets worse. You can do it, just te...

The Oxi is terrible, worst chemo I’ve ever tried. It works though and I’m guessing you could go back on it.

Re: Stage IV parents with young child(ren)

Hi, this is my first post here, but I have been reading for a while. I've been stage IV all along, but we were chasing cure. In March we moved to confirmed incurable. I have a four-year-old son and the sadness and despair about leaving him motherless is nearly all-consuming. I haven't been able to ...

I had to go on a second blood pressure medication due to Avastin. It was my only side effects, I did it twice for a total of about 24 times.

Re: My CRC with liver mets journey

I’ve been here a couple of times, cannot recommend it enough, it’s on the NE side of the island: Taormina https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Taormina I was wrong, we only made it as far as Cefalu last trip. We did spend our last day in Taormina this time; it was beautiful! We had a lovely lunch overlo...

Re: Thoughts on attending a funeral?

Most of our funerals are big parties, fighter pilots throw a kegger and burn a piano, we have done it since WWII, google it. Just a different perspective. Burning the piano, eh? My old man was in the RAF - what an interesting insight in why he hated paying for my piano lessons. Hah. Who knew!?? :P ...

[ The best part of being a 24 year old 1st Lieutenant fighter pilot? Everyone expects a screw up now and again, I screwed up and got laughed and then named for it. How many people that age hasn’t messed up with a 40 million dollar airplane? This was darn near 20 years ago, I think I’m safe. THANK Y...

Re: Constipation - Drinking Water (>120 ounces)

I have had chronic constipation since 2016 after my hemicolectomy. I hardly ever got relief. I also take iron supplements because I am anemic which only makes constipation worse. I take docusate (stool softner) with every meal (3 times a day), that helped but not as much as when i recently started ...

Re: Probiotics while on Immunotherapy. Good or bad?

Do it. When I lived in Korea I couldn’t stand kimchi, now that I don’t, I can’t get enough of the stuff. Then again, Keytruda didn’t work for me.
