Re: For Stage III's: NED for how long now?

Just popping in to say I "graduated" today. 5 years post chemo, got a clean scan and good CEA. Officially cured and only have colonoscopies on the horizon (currently every 3 years). I remember how important it was to read good news as well as bad here so wanted to offer some hope for those...

Re: Covid 19 vaccine

Glad to hear that SOMEONE is getting vaccinated! They're still working on people 70+ only here in Maine. In NH, those over 65 are getting vaccinations. Our vaccine supply has tripled this week though. I'm in the 50-65 category and we can start making resrvations March 22 for vaccinations starting M...

Re: Stage 3 After Treatment Plans?

I had forgotten (blocked?) but looking back it looks like after chemo I started with CEA every 6 weeks the first four times (that was awful) then switched to 3 months... CT at 3 months, 6 months, then every 6 months from there. I think both CEA and CT were more frequent than standard - we pushed bec...

Re: Hello new to site

Noticed a different post you made because our age, kids, and staging is so similar. I'm glad it sounds like you're doing well since treatment! Thanks. I am definitely blessed! I was lucky that treatment wasn’t too bad. I just got pushed back from 6 to 9 months scans which is nice. After my next it ...

Re: Just diagnosed and it's EVERYWHERE...what to do now??

I am so sorry! This diagnosis of nothing, just living your normal life to stage 4 cancer is so shocking and scary. We live near MD Anderson but did not get very good answers and responses from them regarding the extent of DH's cancer. We sought out a specialist at Memorial Sloan Kettering in NYC an...

Re: Rooms at MSK Hospital

We had a shared room for about one hour. Even worse than any noise was the shared bathroom. We were glad we opted for the paid upgrade when I started vomiting during prep for surgery... for nearby hotel we liked the affinia garden.
