Re: My favorite time of year

I have United Healthcare and many doctors in Dallas Fort Worth are dropping them because of their payments aren't considered "fair". I'll share this story about them. They would not approve a 200 pill count prescription of Xeloda. What they agreed to was a 100 pill count prescription with ...

Re: neuropathy

Mine seems to have gotten worse since my chemo ended last month. I do find the more active that I am, the better it seems to get. Hoping that it continues to decrease. Gonna have to try the vitamin B & magnesium suggestions

Re: My favorite time of year

Yeah, my employer announced that our PPO option is going away after next year. I'm trying to figure out why my definition of affordable and the government's definition aren't the same...lol

Taking time to appreciate the little things

So I took my family camping with my son's Cub Scout pack this past weekend. It was the time since my Dx that we've gotten away from the hubbub of my treatment. What a well-needed break! Sat around a campfire and visited with friends on Friday night and made some new ones. Feel asleep to the sound of...

Re: Scared of Colonoscopy - Any Advice?

The prep is worse than the procedure. Just make sure that your laptop or tablet is fully charged or that you have plenty of reading material in the bathroom. Baby wipes aeRe your best friend on prep day :D Turn the nerves over to God.

Re: How does red meat cause cancer?

As a member of PETA (people eating tasty animals), I won't be giving up red meat any time soon. How often have we heard eating this or that is bad for you only to a different study come out a few years later disproving the first study? I think that moderation is the key, but your mileage may vary.

Re: I'm new here, but wanted to say thank you and offer my story.

My cousin was Dx at 34, I wondered if I should have been checked. I was Dx stage 2 at 48. Sometimes I wonder if I should have gotten checked earlier.
