Re: Mass in cecum / liver mets

Dear ldbenz, I am one of the HAI people on the forum. I would contact Dr. Kemeny if possible. She likes to start patients on chemotherapy and do treatment from the very beginning. I am one of the patients who are almost completely "her own". I started treatment in hopeless situation: with ...

Re: Stage IV 2 years later... keeping the HOPE

Mary,
Thank you for your message. I think about you and Jesse every day.
Who knows, maybe one of this new trials will be able to open the door to cure wider.
It is so good to see little snow flake stars on this cool winter day. So many beautiful, little things each day.
I keep you in my prayers.

Re: Pelvic Fluid

Hi Ana, I had a trace of fluid several times in my small pelvis. Menstruating woman physiologically has a trace of fluid in her pelvis. The amount is sufficient to be seen on CT scan. I had this situation maybe 3 times during last 2.5 years. Radiologists and oncologists were not concerned however th...

Re: More questions on maintenance.

It seems you got complete radiological response. Congratulations! I would do PET but without stopping chemo. I think I would choose XEloda option. It would be even better to resect one of the nodes and evaluate the pathology if accesible .From your signature I assume you had your primary removed bef...

Re: High Liver ALT and AST

I had AlAT and AspAT around 400-500 during FOLFOX and FUDR given together during my treatment. My oncologist switched oxaliplatin with irinotecan and my AlAT, AspAT came back to 30-50. I received in all 8 FOLFIRI. Now they are in low 20 even less than 20. AlAT and AspAT show inflammation, damage of ...

Re: Pain near belly button -- umbilical hernia?

I had small umbilical hernia after my laparoscopy for endometriosis before cancer. I developed hernia in the scar during my pregnancy with twins. There was a very small hole. It was indeed painful. Since it was very small it did not bother me too much. The belly muscles exercises helped me to the po...
