Re: 38 with, single with baby stage 4

Hi,
I git diagnosed in June 2015 with 10+mets to the liver. AS JulieJ I seeked help in MSKCC and received HAI pump treatment. I am 2 years NED and off chemo.
I agree Julie's post. The genetic testing was the first thing I did even before coming to MSKCC.
Good luck!

Re: Just diagnosed and it's EVERYWHERE...what to do now??

I will try to answer a few of your questions. I signed consent form for palliative treat almost 3 years ago and i am still doing good. You must have had a biopsy during your diagnostic colonoscopy. The pathology report of the tissue should provide the info about mutations, MSI/MSS status. Check what...

Re: Just diagnosed and it's EVERYWHERE...what to do now??

I am very sorry. I would take a look at your MSS/MSI status. If you are MSI you may respond very well to immunotherapy. Somebody has already mentioned immunotherapy to you?? I would also look at your pathology report and mutation status. I would treat cancer according it's mutation status if MSS. Ma...

Re: To all HEPATIC pump users - Dr. Kemeny

Thank you very much for this message. I will certainly send a letter/email to J&J. Such a bad news for new patients. I have recently had another completely clear scan and good labs. I am 2 years past resection, almost 3 years after diagnosis and my check ups are becoming less frequent. I was giv...

Re: Julie Yip Williams passed away last Monday, Mar 19th, 2018

These news hit me hard. I have followed her blog since my diagnosis. I exchanged a few emails. I prayed for her. I saw her from distance in MSKCC in mid January and started to run to meet her. She was being called for labs. I stopped in the middle of the short distance and turn around as I did not k...

Re: Fasting During Chemo

I tried to eat the low calories diet during the time our Tom posted much about the Longo approach to chemo. I had rather unpleasant experience. I tried it during my 2 treatments with 5 FU only back in 2016. Overall bad experience. I felt weak. After one of the treatments my oral Herpes virus activat...

Re: Possible for long term remission with only chemo?

Robino, I don't know whether you have ever read TimUK posts. In my opinion he chose the very wise road with his treatment and was doing good when he posted last time. I strongly believe that we should take more modern approach to the cancer and treat it according mutation status. Tim chose the best ...
