Re: Nik Colon - ritz75

This is terrible, Nik was so young. She was very active at one time on here, I spoke with her quite a bit. She really struggled mentally at times trying to deal with this horrible disease...

What a horrible week, such beautiful people were taken...

May God rest her soul...

Re: Bev G

Bev has been on my heart and in my head for a few months. Last time we 'talked' she had been deathly ill from kidney concerns from her diabetes. I think she said Diabetic Ketoacidosis. It had nothing to do with her cancer CURE. She would want you to know that her regular testing showed her still ca...

Re: Bev G

Oh wow....I'm so sad to hear this....I feel terrible but I honestly thought she was long term NED, I dont EVER remember seeing her post anything that she was again fighting her cancer. She rather always tried to comfort and educate others in need of help here. May God rest her beautiful soul.... :(

Get second opinions on the resectability of the liver tumors, inquire about SIRT (Selective Internal Radiation Therapy) in conjunction with chemo. SIRT has a better chance (statisically) of shrinking liver tumors to resectability than just systemic chemo alone.

Seems to be a similar approach to the TIL treatment our dear Sleen had. Apparently its a first for metastatic breast cancer...

Re: Fasting During Chemo

Our very own DK37, the late great Dr. Tom Marsilje, had an amazing writeup / self experiment on this very topic. It is incredibly interesting, and those thinking of trying fasting before chemo should read it. Long story short he claims it helped him personally a LOT with the post infusion symptoms. ...

Damnit. She just had liver resection and was recovering... What happened? She was so sweet and a heck of a fighter. This is so terrible, she will be very missed. Condolences to her family, may she rest in peace. :(

Re: Durvalumab and Cediranib Clinical trial - I'm in!

Scan results are in and I've had significat disease progression. I'm out of the trial. Time for plan B. The doctors at NIH think Hard chemo is needed for awhile. We're considering some trials and maybe we'll start with a few desensitization treatments of Oxaliplatin while we look for other options....

Re: We may have a mile to go to see effective immunothrarpies to occur for those with MSS

I think the results you posted above are for the TIL (tumor infiltrating lymphocytes) therapy and specifically for our own member Sleen, who made national news because of it. She had shrinkage/obliteration of all tumors except one in her lung, which was resected.
