Brand new fissure after colonoscopy

All- i posted here a few days ago. I had my colonoscopy on Thursday and had bad pain after. the pain has subsided a bit but there is definitely a brand new fissure in my anus now as a result of that procedure. i talked to my doctor on friday and she said its unlikely that a colonoscopy would cause a...

sore anus after colonoscopy

is it normal to have pain in the anus after a colonoscopy? i was showering after the procedure and the area stings - it feels like there may be a cut there. I already have a pre-existing chronic fissure for years and hope i dont have a new one now

thanks

Colonoscopy today

All- I had my colonoscopy today and shockingly after all my anxiety I was completely clean. However i did have a few internal hemmorhoids (the apparent source of the fecal blood). One was dark blue and then there were like 3 of them right at the border between the anus and the rectum. I have been st...

My friends precancerous polyps

a friend of mine is 43 and had several walnut sized polyps in his colon as well as one the size of an orange. is it possible these started growing inside him as early as his late 20s or early 30s?

Can colonoscopies be dangerous?

i read in a few places that the scopes are not properly cleaned/sterilized and that its possible to introduce dangerous pathogens into the gut. Also read the prep can wipe out your good bacteria. anyone have any info on this?

thanks

Re: Very Concerned Please Help!

I was diagnosed with hems. 7 weeks later with locally advanced colon cancer. I'm sure you're not in this situation, but I think you'd be wise to go through with a FULL scope (none of this sigmoidoscopy bullshit) asap. what were your symptoms? Everyone's symptoms are different. But mine were shortne...
