Re: ***News Stories Thread*** ONGOING 2021

Lovely story about a 20 year survivor who lives in my neck of the woods. For years, Shelby Sherritt was known as the “cancer girl”. “All my friends were like ‘Oh, she’s going through treatments’ or ‘That’s the girl from high school that got cancer’,” she says. “For so long I thought that my narrativ...

Re: ***News Stories Thread*** ONGOING 2021

So when it comes to keeping people alive who gets all the credit? The heart . . . pump, pump, pump, pump. What else does it do? Nothing. I'll tell you what I do. I take the trash out . . . every day . . . sometimes twice. And what's the cherry on top of the crap sundae that's my life? https://www.yo...

Re: Bowel issues worried about colon cancer?

Hello everyone thought I would give an update I went to the doctors he did a rectal exam and found external hemorrhoids but nothing inside. I told him I was still concerned about the pencil thin stools and me have the feeling that I'm literally pushing to go? I guess he told me to try witch hazel f...

Re: Stage 4 in Australia.

G'day Mark Another Aussie here. I recently moved from Melbourne (where I was diagnosed and had my surgery at Sandringham Hospital) into the Central Highlands of Victoria which brings with it new doctors and the whole she-bang. Have yet to check out B.R.I.C.C. Less choices here in one sense yet the f...

Gutsy - The Card Game

Each of us has a community of microbes that lives in our digestive system. Scientists call this community our gut microbiome. It plays many important roles in our bodies, like helping to digest food, regulating our immune system, preventing diseases, and even affecting our appetites and our emotion...

Re: I need to scream this out loud: "GoLYTELY IS OUT OF MY LIFE!"

Wow! What do you think the odds are of living around the corner from a colonic irrigation office? I don't know. Do you think that is a sign that maybe you might consider switching from a heretic to believer naturopath? Like what if it is the key to ending your discomfort? Like, what if???? ...

Re: I need to scream this out loud: "GoLYTELY IS OUT OF MY LIFE!"

Thanks for the link Green Tea, it is exactly what I was after. Five years ago, when I was scheduled for my first post-R. hemi colonoscopy at the Alfred Hospital in Melbourne, they sent me two pages of instructions. "You will need to buy PREP-KIT C from your local pharmacy (script not required)....

Re: I need to scream this out loud: "GoLYTELY IS OUT OF MY LIFE!"

With the preps, are they actually categorized based on how the patient presents? For example, the first time colonoscopy, no previous surgery, no resections: the colon is in showroom condition....like a virgin gets (insert name of prep)......through to the person whose colon has been greatly modifie...

Re: Opinions on alternative treatments?

ALL of the members here you mention are those we have lost. They were all in contact with me off forum (PM and email) MANY times since 2008 when I joined. Marc and Vilca especially, shared most of their ordeals with any and ALL medical treatments, privately. As I've only been in this forum since mi...

Re: Opinions on alternative treatments?

I read her post where she was very excited that her liver metasteses were operable, but I don't know how to search through her posts to see her treatments. Obviously they didn't help her, but I'd like know what, exactly, didn't help her. Take the time to read through her posts and form your own con...

Re: Opinions on alternative treatments?

But Care Oncology claims that their protocol is very effective against colon cancer. I've spoken to two of their oncologists (one is Stanford-trained) and two of their nurse practitioners, who always seem to have all the time in the world to discuss things with me. Of course they have giving you &q...
